Leonard Cooper Novels & Stories

Eleanor said, holding up June’s stare. June flashed an impish grin. “I like you. What’s your name?” “Eleanor.” June turned around “Come with me. We need to talk.” ***** Leonard stepped out of the limousine and took bold steps after his bodyguards who were leading him to the multipurpose hall. It was a few minutes past 10 am and Leonard had arrived just in time for the meeting. He was smartly dressed in a black tuxedo and his ponytail dangled behind him.

June 27, 1996, THE GUEVARA’s Holding. “How can you tell me we lost to Ronald Huston?! Why the hell did you about the investors!” Leonard snapped at Theo smith, his personal assistant. Leonard ran his hand through his hair, frustration sets in, “Have you suddenly lost your tongue? Didn’t I warned you about this?” Leonard yelled. “I’m..I’m sorry, I thought I could double the profit shares higher than the Guevara. I’m sorry sire,” Theo apologized immediately—he’s on his knees.

His PA asked. "Come on, I knew that if she was lying, she would never get away with it. I am Alexander Cooper. Who will con me and get away with it? I didn't think it was a big deal. Luna Salvador, I am so going to deal with her. This is her information, right? It's already late. I can't imagine myself going to that area of the city at this time.

He was totally broken and devastated as he stared blankly at the spot where Leonard’s body had been removed. “Who is that?” Curious, Lawrence asked, eyes narrowing at Kevin as he studied him. “A relative of the deceased officer?” “Leonard had no close relatives,” Alex pointed out, and turning to look at Kevin, he said, “His name is Kevin Logan. Leonard was the detective assigned to his case about a year ago when he was still in Fallout. His commanding officer had teamed him up with detective Murphy to search for his fiancée, who was abducted two days to their wedding.”

His cold, somber face, shrouded in the dim light, was stark contrast to the vibrant lively scene behind him. Suddenly, the crisp sound of high heels clicking against the floor pierce the air, followed by a pair of slender arms wrapped around him. “Leo, everyone's waiting for you to give the word!!” The woman tugged at his arm, pulling him from the sofa. As she looked up at his chiseled features, her heart raced like a frantic deer. No wonder he was Leonard Williams, the CEO of Knight Enterprises. It wasn't just his billion dollars fortune; but his God like looks alone could stop traffic, captivating every woman who laid their eyes on him. He was born to stand out, a beacon that had shattered

When he straightened, the pen still in his hand, I forgot how to breathe for a second. Leo. Except here, in a white coat, with a name badge clipped to his chest: Dr. Leonard Fournette, MD, Psychiatry. You have got to be kidding me. His eyes landed on me, and recognition lit them instantly. That smile—the one that had been charming in a Dubai restaurant—spread across his face. “Dr. Steele.” I blinked, my voice slower than my thoughts. “Dr… Fournette?” “Leo works too,” he said easily, crossing the room to shake my hand like we hadn’t last seen each other over dinner with candlelight and too much wine.

“That’s more than enough.” As teenagers, Leonard and Cole were as close as brothers. They studied together, worked shifts at the clinic on weekends, and sometimes stayed up all night discussing ethical dilemmas or the future of medicine. They complemented each other, Leonard, intuitive and spiritually gifted; Cole, precise, methodical, and scientifically brilliant. Where one led with instinct, the other counterbalanced with knowledge. Leonora often watched them from the porch, heart full. “These boys,” she told Simon one evening, “they’re going to change the world.”

“How did you do that?” Massimo asked, still standing beside Leonard as the last of the investors exited the meeting room. Leonard didn’t answer immediately. He was reclined in his chair, swinging slowly as though gravity itself bowed to him. His fingers were tented together, the way a man thinks before delivering either salvation or damnation. “I just pulled a little stunt,” Leonard replied coolly. “A little stunt?” Massimo scoffed with a smirk. “You had Anderson gaping like a man who saw a ghost. Whatever notification he got, it rattled him to the bones. And yet, you were just sitting there, smiling.”

The computer suddenly displayed a notification that a text had been sent, he opened it and saw that it was a text from that company that his assistant had sent. The text said that this company had a very strong influence overseas. It seemed to be a trustworthy partner. Leonard had always been hesitant to confirm the cooperation partner, partly because Plan A was a bit involved, so he was afraid that others would make a fuss. He asked his assistant to check all the records of the cooperation company and edit them all. Leonard had always been a very careful person, but recently there had been too many things happening, so his attention to the company has decreased.

Cole thought licking his lips. Unknowning to him his best friend, Leonard has been observing him for the past fifteen minutes. "Back to earth, man" Leonard snapped tapping him lightly on his back. "What the hell!" Cole jerked up flinching. "What was that for" he questioned. "You've been lost in thought for the past minutes if not hours, dude" Leonard replied sarcastically. "Really" he drawled arching his brow skeptically. "What were you thinking, dude?" Leonard queried still standing at his back.
