Marrying my ex-jerk's father

Marrying my ex-jerk's father

said Leonard, “doesn’t just hate her ex-daughter-in-law. She hates anyone who gets close to me. Because she’s afraid of losing what she’s fought so hard to take.” “Seized?” Avery frowned. “What do you mean?” Leonard turned around. His eyes met Avery’s with a different look, neither cold nor sharp. But empty—like someone who’d kept a secret for far too long. “Viviene,” he said. “My first wife.” Avery was startled. “What does that have to do with Sophie?” “Sophie was her best friend.” Leonard walked over and sat down in his chair. “She came to our house every week. She was the one who introduced Viviene to me. She was the one she trusted.”

FALLING FOR THE ENEMY’S SON

FALLING FOR THE ENEMY’S SON

Eleanor said, holding up June’s stare. June flashed an impish grin. “I like you. What’s your name?” “Eleanor.” June turned around “Come with me. We need to talk.” ***** Leonard stepped out of the limousine and took bold steps after his bodyguards who were leading him to the multipurpose hall. It was a few minutes past 10 am and Leonard had arrived just in time for the meeting. He was smartly dressed in a black tuxedo and his ponytail dangled behind him.

Entering the library his nose filled with the smell of old books, ink and musky and woody smell of books and the wooden cupboards. Good story to read and be relaxed. But it will be much better if Dear Author will proof read and take editing seriously as to not waste your effort since the story is great and it is sad if it will not be fully acknowledge just because of grammar, spellings, proper punctuations etc.

It’s not enough to say I Like this story or enjoyed it…to simply put it..I Love this book! The character development is written beautifully. And you’d be able to feel and understand the characters emotions so well. I can’t wait to read more of the authors stories in the future!

Rough Mercy: A Collection of Dark Passions

Rough Mercy: A Collection of Dark Passions

“You dressed quickly.” “I didn't want to keep you waiting.” Dave's response sounded breathless, from running through the hall and down the stairs. “Let's go then. I have the best drink in mind for such an… Occasion, if I may call it that.” He led Dave into the bar, a room that was formerly their library, before he turned it into a bar and took the library upstairs. A wall of windows looked out onto the dark, lapping water of the pool outside, and a fire crackled in a massive stone hearth. Leonard went straight to the bar. He grabbed a bottle of whiskey and poured two fingers of amber liquid into a fresh glass before he held it out.

“That’s why you are here. Things just got a little bit more complicated.” “Fuck me, how is that possible?” I ask. yeah I have definitely lost all filter tonight. “Welcome to the club.” Says Peter. “We are getting t-shirts. This time we are blaming Lionidis and his entire bloodline” he says cryptically, throwing his arm around his bets shoulder. We all go back inside, and they lead me into the library where it seems they have been working for a while, there are empty cups, coffee pots, plates, stacks of papers and books littered around. But what catches my eye is s a stack of books I’ve never seen before.

That Stranger Lying Beside Me

That Stranger Lying Beside Me

He couldn't help but admire her. Leonard did not disturb Abbie and turned to leave. When he went downstairs, his assistant came in from outside. Leonard waved at his assistant. "Follow me." The assistant followed Leonard to the study and closed the door. Leonard lowered his voice and said, "I don't want to endure it anymore!" The assistant looked at Leonard in confusion. Leonard continued to whisper, "I have to think of a way to make Abbie mine." "What do you wish to do, Mr. Floyd?"

Either way, she is cute, so cute when she is reading. He pocketed his hands before walking over to her table, right in front of her. Pathological dependence

Pathological dependence

“Everything okay?” Leonard’s mouth went dry. This was it. He had to lie. Directly to her face. “Yeah,” he said, forcing a casual tone. He walked to the sink and poured himself a glass of water, just to have something to do with his hands. “I couldn’t sleep. Went for a really long walk. Ended up at the 24-hour library to get some work done. Must have dozed off in a carrel for a bit.” The lie was elaborate, and it sounded hollow even to his own ears.

Denial before Surrender

Denial before Surrender

At the end of the day, I went to the library again. Partly because I actually needed to study. Partly because I’d started pretending that Tyler showing up there was an unpredictable inconvenience instead of a possibility I had begun to account for. He didn’t arrive straight away. For forty minutes it was just me, my notes, the quiet scratch of pens, and the low library hum of people trying not to be noisy enough to get thrown out. Leonard was there too, across from me, working through physics problems with the expression of frustration. He looked up once and said, “You are checking the door too often.”
