“Please—Levi, you can’t leave us. Not now.” Levi coughed, void-dark blood staining his lips. His eyes flicked toward Autumn, then back to Amaya. “The balance… it chose her,” he rasped. “Protect… the children.” The prematurely born pup whimpered, its form unstable, light and shadow fighting violently beneath its skin. Autumn barely heard them. Her world had narrowed to the man in her arms. To the terrifying, endless quiet where his presence should have been. Beneath the ruins, the earth groaned.

I replied calmly, my eyes lingering for just a moment longer on the breathtaking view of the sprawling city beneath the massive structure, memorizing every detail of the mortal world I was currently walking within. I felt the gentle shift in the air as he departed, leaving me alone once again. Taking one last deep breath of the earthly air, I stood up gracefully. Behind me, hidden from mortal eyes, my large, majestic wings unfurled and fluttered once, powerful and light at the same time. Silas replied in a voice full of remorse, bowing his head obediently. Lilith then turned her attention to Levi, her eyes looking at him sharply. "You were the one on that mission, right?" she asked, her tone crisp and cold. "Yes, my Lady," Levi replied in a respectful tone, though there was clearly fear hidden within. "Hmm..." Lilith eyed Levi up and down, judging with eyes full of scorn. Then, with a simple flick of her wrist, Levi abruptly collapsed to the ground, gasping for air, as if his strength had suddenly vanished. Silas and Chris quickly rushed to his side, trying to help, while Levi clutched his throat, choking and barely catching his breath.

Zayden. He had just stepped out of the shower, steam still curling in the air behind him. Water dripped down the hard lines of his chest and over the sculpted muscles of his torso. A towel hung low around his waist, while another was in his hand as he roughly dried his damp hair. He hadn’t noticed her yet, too absorbed in his own routine. Lia’s eyes betrayed her. They lingered on him longer than she wanted, tracing the demigod-like figure that explained why the girls at school couldn’t stop whispering his name. Her heart thudded, and heat rushed to her cheeks.

I let out a string of curse words, but stopped when I heard Leo chuckle. “Why are women so stubborn?” he said as he swooped me in his arms bridal style. “Let me go.” I said through gritted teeth, struggling in his arms. “I can walk on my own.” “Obviously,” he chuckled, rolling his eyes, “After three failed attempts, one can think you’d give up!” Leonardo’s POV She sighed in defeat, cloaking her arms around my neck. I grinned at her action. “Just get me to my room!” she ordered, looking flushed.

It didn’t matter in the face of death. My head jerked to the right, founding the blade glistening. Looking at him, my hand reached for the blade. One second, two seconds, three seconds… “When you wake up in the other world, you’ll be thanking me, Winter.” And I struck the blade to his face, eliciting a roar from him. Bang~ The door to my doom opened, and so many people dragged me like I was nothing. Their eyes scrutinized me as if I was a skilled killer. A scream echoed throughout the path. Gone was the respect in their eyes. What I am now is just a fallen Luna.

"You're a civilian. I'm a soldier. Do me a favor and stay out of my way!" Jacob's eyebrow twitching, he tries to run past me but I push him back and knock him to the ground. "Stay here," I repeat, holding out my hand. With that, I turn and run toward the marketplace. Tristan: Skidding down a dirty wall, I jump once I reach the bottom and land in the bloody street. Looking left and right, I don't see anything. I turn back and wave my hand. Rebecca seeing the signal skids down the dirty wall with an unconscious Bailey still on her back. Reaching the bottom, she jumps and tries to land on the street. However, with the added weight, she falls.

I let myself fall. Blood poured from my mouth as I hit the ground. I pulled Ethan close and spoke into his ear. "I bet you'll never be anything more than my stand-in. You'll never beat me. What do you think she'll do to you when she sees you pushed me into the sea?" Ethan panicked and tried to pull away. I used his momentum and went over the edge, out into the open water. But from where Serena was standing, it looked like Ethan had shoved me in.

“Diana. Come with me.” He steered me toward the door, his grip firm on my arm. We passed Simone, who watched with barely concealed glee. Passed the servers whispering behind their hands. Passed the wreckage of my career scattered across the polished floor. Laurent’s office felt like a tomb. He stood behind his desk, trembling with rage. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” His voice was low, deadly. “Any idea of the damage you’ve caused to Veridian’s reputation?”

Ten seconds to zero. The system’s piercing countdown abruptly cut off. A crushing sensation of weightlessness smashed through everyone’s stomach. Gravity parameters failed completely. The Leviathan’s tens of thousands of tons of steel skeleton lost all braking force, tearing through the deep-sea current and slamming violently onto the pale-gray seabed of the Eden ruins. BOOM! A devastating physical shockwave overturned the entire vessel. Tactical terminals and scattered metal components broke free of gravity from the control console, floating midair—only to be violently shredded into lethal fragments as the impact wave tore through the cabin.
