Novel & Cerita Light Bulb Book Cover

Drowning in a sea of fruity bubbles and warm vanilla, appreciating the comfort it was bringing me. As I let my body soak, I peered through the thick fog that encased my bathroom, gaze settling on a book that laid nearby. The cover was a dark film of gray smoke, streaks of midnight blue and black dancing through the haze of gray. A pair of golden colored eyes peered through the smoke, gleaming dangerously at those that gazed at the cover.

Behind the panel was a small space, just big enough to hide something. Inside was a single book. It didn’t look like any of the other books in the library. Its cover was dark, almost black, and made of old leather that looked like cracked bark from a tree. The corners were worn down, and it had no title. Just a symbol. A silver moon. It shimmered faintly, even though the light in the library was dim.

"Artes Obscurae." Sucking in a breath, I run my fingers along the cover and gasp as light begins to radiate from the pages within. Stepping back, I watch as the light grows brighter and brighter until it is damn near blinding. Then, like a volcano erupting, lightning begins to spark around the room. "Look out!" Asher hissed, grabbing me and pulling me out of the way right before one of the bolts hit me. "What the hell did you do?" "I just touched it." I gasped, feeling like a child being scolded. " I didn’t do..."

An idea came to her. She got up and limped over to her dresser. “Rave, would you bring the candle over here?” she asked. Rave did as she requested. By the light of the candle, she unscrewed and removed the lampshade from the small lamp on the dresser. She was going to try using the unshielded light bulb for her visual, and she wanted to see the bulb light up. When the shade was off, she turned toward Rave and blew out the candle. The room became very dim.

It took him an hour to figure out how it works hahaha. He soon turned the book over to check it's title. On the cover, among the pretty colorful gems and butterfly designs is a title of bold golden letters that brought a sudden shiver to his body. 🌹Ruby and Aurelius🌹

"Time of Darkness, excellent choice." She had a calm voice say from behind her and she almost jumped in her skin. She should have been used to this by now. They moved really quickly and their steps were usually silent. The intruder was right in front of her in an instant. Delice. Something twinkled in her eyes as her they roamed the book cover. "They were dark times indeed." Zezi looked at the cover, it was just a black hardcover with 'Time of Darkness' written in a large zig-zag red font.

It was not all, the cover was the eyes of werewolves. My brows furrowed in keen interest as well as something I can't name settling within me. Without thinking further, my hand took out the book and the front cover showed the face of werewolves with its eyes glowing in a golden hue. I brushed my fingers on the cover, mesmerized by the image. It was delicately printed and made.

“I want a cover like this. Not a famous face. But honest emotion.” “Then,” he said, “you’ve already found your direction.” I moved to a row of large shelves filled with modern novels. Most of them had beautiful, eye-catching covers. I picked up a black book with a minimalist design and looked at Liam. “What do you think?” I asked. Liam raised an eyebrow. “I think it’s too dark for your book’s theme.” I chuckled and put the book back. “That’s what I thought.” We moved to another shelf. I picked up a book with a cover of a woman in a white robe staring at the horizon. “This one?”

My father’s book. I took a deep breath and opened it again, making sure to avoid touching any of the pencil prints. I looked at them one by one. Most of them were just drawings of still objects. Then I flipped to the next page and saw a picture of the glowing moth! Just like the other sketches, this one was vivid too, as if it had been captured and trapped in the book. Surrounding the glowing moth were little sparks in an exact shade of gold to represent the light it gives off as it flies. I turned over to the next page. Nothing significant. Just banshee drawings. I flipped and flipped until I got to the end of the book. Nothing of any peculiar interest to me. I closed the book and set it do

It wasn't until she noticed the strange book tucked away in the corner that she was able to distract herself from her thoughts. "I almost missed one," she whispered. As she walked over to it, she noticed that its cover was worn, and it seemed to emit a faint glow that caught her attention. Maybe it's how the moon perfectly acted as its own spotlight that made it seem so glowy, but it's not just that. She somehow felt a little hint of amusement as she stared at it. As she approached the book, she saw the shinny title written on it, Lunaria, and she couldn't help but be intrigued. The moonlight shining down on the pages illuminated the words in a way that made them seem to come alive.
