As he listened to Lily's urgent voice on the phone, Chelsea watched a couple walk hand-in-hand, pausing to admire the street performers nearby.
"Cut the crap, Chelsea," Lily said, her tone brooking no nonsense. He imagined her rolling her eyes, her brow furrowed in determination. "That's not how we do our shit," she continued.
Chelsea raised an eyebrow, smiling wryly. "Wow, you're cussing. Then you're really serious."
Lily's voice remained firm. "Damn right I am. Got any plans this week? It's time to bring out our A-game."
Chelsea's confusion deepened. "What are you talking about, Lily? You're not making sense."
