“You need to tell him you won’t marry Lorenzo. Refuse, Josie.”
Her eyes narrow, and she places her hands on her hips. “No.”
My jaw tightens, my patience fraying. “Are you joking? You’re already married!”
“To a man I hate,” she shoots back, her voice rising. “An arranged marriage that’s been nothing short of torture.”
I laugh bitterly, shaking my head at her naivety. “And marrying The Prince won’t be torture? Really?”
Her lips twitch, and then she shrugs. “He’s hot,” she says, as if that settles everything.
