Lena's POV. I hummed a sweet, melodious tune as I walked down from the market with a bag of groceries in my hand. I couldn't get his voice out of my mind. I was excited. Too excited. He promised to marry me, he promised to make me his Luna. And even as I silently flung open the door, I could hear his voice in my head. Literally. “Yes! oh god! Yes! Come on, fuck the shit out of me” a loud moan snapped me out of my head. I froze looking straight ahead at the couch.

What she did not expect was Leo popping his head in like a lost puppy. He kept badgering Capri about having his number and for her to call or text him. After a while and not giving up she finally sent a message. Hey! Without a name or a reason. She has no idea what to say and did not know why Leo was so Adamant about her calling him. His response was almost instantaneous, what he had to say she had no words for.

Layken jumped up and ran back inside, then came out with slices of lemon. I watched as Layken spritzed lemon on his fish. He grinned at me as he shoved the saucer over to me. I grabbed a slice, squeezed the juice over my fish, and took a bite. “Just when I didn’t think this fish could get any better, you surprise me. Lemon brings the taste of the fish to a whole other level. I love this.” “Thank you, babe.” Layken grins before popping an okra in his mouth. “I have some lanterns. We could set out some chairs, drink some wine and relax for a while by the stream. If you’re up to doing so, that is?”

Until I was standing by the group of men. They became a blur, but I could see Leon as he came forward to where I stood, inching forever closer until I felt that I shouldn't move. Then his lips brushed lightly against my cheek in greeting, quick and soft. "Isn't this a surprise?" My dad said, "Leon's in the city, came on his own!" A surprise? It was a surprise to see him inside my house. I couldn't even feel my hands. Softly I cleared my throat, and Leon's green eyes caught mine in something that resembled a dare. It sparked a tempered flame inside of me.

Leon looked closely at the bonfire in front of him. He wanted to make sure what he saw was true. Leon rubbed his eyelids then took another look, and now he was very sure that what he saw was true. There was a very faint crack in the middle of the fire. In it, Leon could very faintly see the bright green computer codes.

********* Later in the day, we’re in the gardens, the late afternoon sun casting a golden glow over the blooming flowers. Lior crouches beside a patch of vibrant green leaves, brushing his fingers over them with reverence. “This one’s lemon balm,” he says, glancing up at me. “It’s good for calming the nerves. Might help with all that overthinking you pretend you don’t do.” I smirk, nudging his shoulder with my knee. “Bold of you to assume I overthink. Maybe I’m just wise beyond my years.” He lets out a soft laugh, one of those low, warm sounds that makes my chest ache. “Of course. My mistake, Oracle of Lunaris Pack.”

"Leo told Misty that since I follow Luminarism, I must adore lotuses, as they symbolize flowers blooming and fruiting in the same season. "Celeste doesn’t even know I follow Luminarism, but he does. Moreover, can a normal three-year-old even speak this way? Leo is truly remarkable." Both she and Damon felt the same way when they met Leo. That was, they wanted to give him the best of everything in the world. Damon chuckled. "He must get it from his mother. I was never that sharp as a kid." In fact, he wasn't being humble. While Damon was more intelligent than the average, Leo was exceptional.

“You can go to him now and tell him, I swear on the moon goddess that he will not believe a single word you say, Odette. Do you think I am a child?” My phone chose this moment to ring and as soon as I see the caller ID, anticipation surge through my veins. If she is calling so late, it could mean one thing. Pressing the receive button, I put the phone against my ear as her voice filters through. “Hello” “It seems the moon goddess has favorites” Jacqueline says from the other end and the frown on my face deepens. “What do you mean?” “Apparently aside from her mother, she is also a true Luna and her blood can nullify any kind of magic or spell, she also has the ability to heal and make whole”

“I am curious about something. How difficult is it to learn how to link with someone in the pack? It would be useful to have that ability if I need to reach someone.” “Oh, that is simple. That is something I can teach you right now actually. It may not happen right away, but it will be something you can practice over the next week. Usually, it takes a while to be able to open a link. Most learn it at a young age so it tends to be a little easier, since you are an adult now, it may take a little while to clear your mind enough to find the tether linking members of the pack.” “Really? That would be great. I mean I have a phone, but I don’t know how to even turn it on.” I admitted, feeling humi

I said in a joking manner and she smiled as if she even knew the meaning of a Luna but then she turned and asked me, “Karl?” she called and I responded nonchalantly. I was looking for something to eat for dinner, probably an animal which I could use as beef for the night before we started thinking of what we would eat for the next day because she seemed to be some sort of foodie. “Who is a Luna?” she asked and to be honest it didn’t startle me because I knew there was no way in hell she could remember all that for now she had amnesia. I tried to explain whatever it was Luna was and she thanked me and turned to face the wall deep in thought I left her for that because maybe she might remember
