Lisa choked, red nails clawing at his wrist.
"Thought you could run?" Victor's voice was calm. Terrifying.
I stepped forward, slow, deliberate.
"Let her breathe," I said softly. "I want to hear her beg."
Victor loosened his grip, just enough.
Lisa sucked in air, eyes wild, mascara already streaking.
"Elena," she croaked, "we were friends,"
"Were we?" I tilted my head. "Friends don't sleep with their best friend's fiancé. Friends don't try to murder an unborn pup. Friends don't film a miscarriage for likes."
