Calvin pulls me off of his lap and onto the bed he goes to the closet and comes back with underwear and one of his tee-shirts and dresses me in them, his tee-shirt is big enough to come down to just above my knees. He goes back into the closet and returns dressed in joggers and a tee shirt; he's so fast it's only taken him a minute to dress us both. I see him mind link someone then he comes and takes the phone off me. Shit, Beth is still on the phone while I'm just sitting here.

There were neat, small sticky notes poking out from almost every single chapter. I opened to the first marked page. In Maverick’s handwriting, there was a note that read: “Does page 14 mean the data moves faster if you shorten the string? Let me know if I got that right.” I stared at the note, my heart feeling so light that I felt like a teenager again. I looked up at him, completely stunned. "Maverick... did you buy a coding textbook?"

Alongside that, I was working under contract with two media houses, one of which I served as the chief in-house editor. And then there was my anonymous author profile, where I wrote romance-fantasy books—or romantasy, as most people would call it. I was on my third book, with around five thousand subscribers following my profile and three thousand views on my latest story. Still, I hadn’t updated a single chapter in almost a week. With all that in mind, I continued to stare at the screen until it finally dimmed and went black. My laptop had gone to sleep. Now, it was my reflection that stared back at me.

I continue walking to the house caressing my belly and saw a shadow of a person walking near the house of Nana Mina, the light from the moon was enough for me to saw the person and it was Isaac the eldest son of Nana Aurora. I walk near him and smiled when his gaze turns to mine, he then smiled and walk closer to where I was standing. "Hey, it's three in the morning what are you doing outside, lady?"He jokingly questions me, I shake my head and sigh before answering. "I can't sleep," I said and look at him.

She chuckled. "Thanks Manang. I'll go up." I said and started removing my shoes. "Okay. Careful Hijo." She reminded me while I climbed the hanging ladder. I signal okay and continue climbing up. On my last step I reached for the hanging rope and pulled myself up. The door size is 5feet so I have to bend down for me to fit. I switched on the light. My things were still organized. This tree house was so big for me before but now, all I could do was bend and move a little so I won't hit some of my old stuff.
