I’ve always loved writing. It’s very hard to keep secrets in a pack that is so close to one another and everyone’s business is everyone else’s business! It’s hard to have privacy to even have your own secrets. That’s why I started writing this journal. I needed a safe place to reflect and vent about things that happen to me that I don’t want anyone else knowing so information doesn’t eat me alive!

Feeling refreshed and more grounded, she made her way to the dining hall, seeking a steaming cup of chai and a quiet corner to record her observations. Settling at a small table by the window, she carefully opened her journal. Her pen moved deliberately across the page, documenting the layout of the dig site, the grid lines, and the systematic methods she had used to mark and measure each section. She noted the placement of stakes, the tension of the strings, and the subtle variations in the soil, capturing each detail with precision. The act of writing brought a calm focus, a structured rhythm that helped her mind settle after the intensity of the day.

“Think about it. That’s the point of today’s exercise. I’ll ask the questions and you’re going to think long and hard about the answers.” Once the three of us were ready, we left the house where we were able to get a closer look at the quaint charm of the town. The first place that drew my attention was an arts and crafts store. My mind instantly went to Eli. Eva and Stasia were busy looking through some of the painted canvases on display at the front while I curled my way through the aisle in search of some decent graphite sketching pencils. I found numerous kits that would be perfect for Eli along with a handmade leather-bound blank journal. As I searched through the various types of journ

I tried changing the topic. "Wow, this space is amazing." Samuel stated as they looked around my work station. "It's like a huge mess but an organized mess." "It's how my brain works. I have so many ideas so I created this room to make my ideas tangible. It makes me see my ideas from a different angle. I have on that corner the movie scripts beside those are the TV series scripts. Over there is my research area. It is where I profile my characters." I explained. "Wow, I am really impressed. I haven't seen anything like this before. It's like having a peek into the mind of a genius like you." Stephanie exclaimed excitedly.

It was a small, leather-bound journal, its pages blank and inviting, a canvas for her thoughts and emotions. She began with small, hesitant entries, scribbling down snippets of her day, observations about the people she encountered, the books she read, the quiet moments of contemplation in the library. But as she wrote, she felt a sense of liberation, a sense of release. The words flowed more easily, the sentences grew longer, the stories unfolded.

“Actually. I have something.” Every face turned toward me. Some are curious. Some are already preparing to zone out. That was fine. I tapped on my tablet and brought up a simple sketch I’d done just last night. It wasn’t flashy, not yet. But it was enough. “I’ve been thinking about a project,” I said, keeping my voice steady. “It’s something different. But it could work.” Jason raised an eyebrow. “What kind of project?” “Micro resort pods,” I said. “Tiny, luxury resort rooms. Pre-built, modern-looking, but instead of doing it right in the city, they'll be placed in quiet, natural places like Forest edges. Hillsides. Lakefronts.”

" Are you serious? I mean… you said you didn't even know I would be here… " Of course! I bought it on impulse, just because I thought it was cute at the time, but I never liked writing diaries, I write on my blog, on my cell phone. Well, if you don't want to, I'll understand too… " Oh, no, imagine. I loved it, I accept it. Thank you very much. - I smile, hugging the small notebook. So many ideas came, suddenly, like a tsunami to my mind. My biggest wish now was to have as many adrenaline-pumping as special moments to record in this diary.

LESLIE’S JOURNAL ENTRIES 001 ******* Dear Diary, Scratch that. Dear Journal? Well, you’re sort of pink, handmade and gotten from the roadside stall of a little girl working on some class project so maybe you're really a diary. However, I am going to pretend this is a journal and this is the beginning of me journaling my new life in a new city. I read somewhere online that it’s a therapeutic practice. For me, it’s an escape. The only way I can express myself in a world where I feel more alone than I have ever been.

Both are way too big on me but I make the sweats work by rolling the waistbands several times until I'm no longer liable to trip on them before heading out of the closet to where the journal and pen await my arrival. The sunlight has moved, creating a brilliant, almost blinding, path across the white duvet which means I no longer have the option of cuddling up in bed while I offer my darkest confessions in ink. I pick the large armchair in the corner and decide it'll have to do as a replacement and settle into it then flip my journal open. I scribble the words; The list, at the very top of the page and then proceed to stare at it for the next fifteen minutes.

Thursday, 13 February 2014 11:00pm Dear Jennifer, I have decided to write a personal journal to help me cool off my head over the tough times I face with my family. Should anything weird happen to me one day, I hope this book will find its way to you and help solve the riddles around my situation. I am not predicting something bad to happen to me or my family any soon; however, the future, and all its occurrences, is inevitable.
