I kept my head low as I was pushed forward. Every eye that lingered on me started knives, Every lips whispered insults as cruel as Theron's heart. “She deserves it!” “Good riddance.” “Finally, Scarface is gone. My nightmares have come to an end.” I bit my lip hard enough to draw blood, swallowing the sun rising in my throat. I also heard Camila's voice. “Aww, poor Violeta.” She cooed, faking her sympathy. “I hope the rogues don't rip you apart out there.”

I muttered to myself. “Shit." Rave thundered through the mindlink, his voice coming out in raspy breaths into our ears, scratching my thoughts. I felt my heart threatened to give out as I clutched harder at the child in my arms. I could not let anything happen to Niko. "You have to change into your lycan form Rhys! You know that is our only shot at survival!" Lela screamed through the mindlink. That feeling of dread and the fear of disappointing my comrades when they needed me the most engulfed me all over again but never the less, I tried again.

Well, except for that time Jake Lawson decided I was funny to laugh at. He was always at the center of the maelstrom-certainly, he was tall, broad-shouldered, dark-haired, and that hair managed somehow to fall just so, even when sweat-drenched. But hazel eyes gleamed at me under fluorescent lights, and his smile. God, that smile could light an entire room if he wanted it to. And right now, all of Lawson University seemed to orbit around him.

he laughed. He kept laughing thinking thinking I would join him but stopped immediately he noticed he was the only laughing so loud. “I got the scar from a woman, My Luna,” he concluded. “A woman. She fought with you or what?” He smiled. “I wish she fought with me but that wasn't the case.” “I slept with her and It was a wild one. I enjoyed her so much. She does me real good. She is an iron lady, with beautiful light skinned body, always ready to feed me day and night with everything I desire,” he said, licking his lips.

“And yes, I’d prefer she didn’t get burned. Isn’t that normal when you care for someone? You don’t want them to be in pain. But if you’re asking whether the appearance of your scars bothers me, then I can easily say no.” I stared at the king, unsure of what to think or feel. Part of me wanted to believe him, but I was scared to. What if he turned around one day and said he hated how I looked? What would that do to me? “How old were you?” he inquired. “Those scars look quite old.” “I was ten.” “Shit,” he replied. “Then you couldn’t have gone through your first change yet.” I shook my head and turned away, swirling the liquid in my drink.

“Don’t you dare act ignorant!, I know you aren’t happy I am getting married to your dad. But can you at least act mature and not do sensible stuffs” “If I say I understand you, I would be lying” I said not knowing where this is heading. “I know you planned to ruin my wedding” she said. ==+”Yeah, I wanted to but someone did that for me already” I said that inwardly and smirked. “Scarlett.just let me be” “You won’t like what is coming you if you try something like this again” she threatened. I moved closer to her, really close..she blinks her eyes in fear.

As he leaned forward into the amber glow of the fireplace, my breath vanished. He was breathtakingly handsome, but his beauty was ruined by violence. A jagged, silver scar cut through his left eyebrow and down his cheekbone. But it was his eyes that locked me in place—glowing, luminous pools of molten gold. Alpha Dominic. The Lycan King. "Where... where am I?" I trembled. Dominic stood up, moving with the silent grace of an apex predator. "You are in the heart of Shadow Ridge," he said coldly. "You crossed my border, little wolf. My warriors do not show mercy to rogues."

One thing I like about him is that he's always on alert, primarily for calls. We mostly converse through calls. He's my leading man for a reason. Scar was Nora's ex-lover. He loved Nora, Vincent's ex-wife, unquestioningly, so that he could lay down his life for her. But as fate would have it, Nora was mated to Vincent, and she accepted the bond, leaving Scar hurt. Scar, formally known as Scott, was ready to go to any length to harm Vincent, so I used the advantage of his rage towards this Pack to get him to work for me. "How's the search going?" I ask without delay.

Amara stared back, trying to project a semblance of stillness, refusing to betray the sheer terror gripping her. Emiliano stared at her for a long, silent moment, his expression unreadable. He seemed to be assessing her, her fear, her presence in his bed. He slowly walked around the bed, stopping on his side. He reached up, pulling his undershirt over his head in one fluid motion, tossing it onto a nearby chair. Amara couldn't breathe. Her gaze involuntarily dropped, taking in the powerful breadth of his chest, the taut lines of his abdomen, and the faint, intricate scars—silent trophies of a violent life—that crisscrossed his left shoulder.

Hayden commanded, Scar looked across the table and saw all the faces looking at him in mockery, Wade, Danielle, Alpha Otuoke, and every one of them generally. “His father sure was a great dancer,” Alpha Otuoke said, making the whole room break into animated laughter. “Don’t you dare mention my father you coward!” Scar barked, suddenly breaking free from the guards in a powerful surge of adrenalin and ran towards Alpha Otuoke. “He was a great man, greater than you will ever be!” Scar moved fast, breaking all pretenses by bringing to bear all the speed he had been hiding so far. He was faster than an Omega, but he had really misjudged himself as Alpha Otuoke appeared before him in a swoosh, st
