Third Person POV Rosalind was crying in her room. She was screaming and breaking things. She could not believe what had just happened. She had been sure that this was going to work. That Alpha Sebastian would finally be with her. She glances toward the approaching creature, then back toward the hollow, calculating something none of us are privy to yet. "Then use it," I say. "Please." "I intend to," Rosalind says, already moving toward the hollow's stone threshold, drawing a small blade from her belt, her steps unhurried despite the danger closing in behind her. "But you should know, before I do, that the ward doesn't simply blind the creature temporarily." She presses the blade to her palm, and dark blood wells immediately to the surface, dripping steadily onto the stone threshold beneath her feet.

He must have felt some annoyance towards her. “So you deny having any ties with her in any way?” Asked Gordon. “I deny it.” Rosa answered without a second thought. I nodded to the guard and he brought the sapphire stone forward and put it in front of Rosalind. “See if you can lift that stone, my princess.” Rosalind looked at the stone and I crossed my fingers. She picked it up in one hand and nothing happened. The stone remained as it was. I relaxed for the first time today. Thank the goddess.

Her eyes locked onto the timber where the chains were attached, hoping to find a weak point that would grant her the freedom she so desperately desired. Summoning every ounce of willpower, Lily pulled herself up, hanging from the chain as her eyes scanned the timber above. The strain on the wood became apparent as it began to groan under her weight, promising a glimmer of hope. However, before she could fully exploit her discovery, a chilling sound echoed through the cabin—the unmistakable thud of approaching footsteps on the creaking floor.

Rosalind stopped mid-step, her hands hovering over the edge of the bed like she wasn’t sure if she should touch it anymore. “They’re fine,” she tried carefully. “They were just replaced last—” “I said take them out.” My voice came out flat, she knew not to argue. She nodded quickly. “Yes, sir.” I stood there while she bundled them up, like if I looked away, something would still be left behind. There was a faint smell of lavender. I couldn’t tell if it was real or just stuck in my head. “Everything,” I added. She hesitated. “Everything, sir?”

He glanced around, and I realized with a pang of hate that he was trying to find Rosa, the enigma that he had somehow gotten to dance on him. “Looking for someone?” I picked my refilled glass with the edges of my fingers. And speak of the devil. Rosalind appeared from the sky deck. I’d noticed she liked to take air whenever she was in crowded spaces. Crowded for her being more than one person in a room, one being herself. “Gentlemen,” voice like a siren, eyes glinting with mischief. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” Dominic’s leer made me want to punch the drool off his mug.

He was busy admiring the flowers. "So, where is my gift? I want to see what you have for me," Theodore was curious. "You are so impatient. Just close your eyes and wait," Joseph laughed. Theodore did as he was told. Then, Joseph took out a locket from his pocket and put it around Theodore's neck.
