Hero and Lance came few minutes after she called the former, informing him that she brought his friend home. "It's Liam. He's here in Casa. He is looking for you. Fortunately, Max was there to save me." Hero looked at her. She did not change her reaction. "Thank you, Max. We owe you our friend's life," Lance said. "Don't mention it," she replied briefly. "Did Liam recognize you?" Hero asked her. "I don't think so," she replied. "You said you have something else to do. Why did you go out alone?" "I was bored."

When I finally got hold of Mom and Dad tomorrow, they could transfer some money to me, and then I'd be able to leave this godforsaken place. I tapped on the Uber app to try and get a ride back to the hotel. However, since it was raining cats and dogs, there were barely any drivers about.
