RONA'S POV I opened my eyes after Richard left, my eyes a cold shade of green. My heart felt dead inside, and I was just numb. I couldn't think or hear anything, except for voices that drifted into my mind while I was asleep. In the end, Olivia still pulled a fast one on me. Even though Richard wouldn't let her off, I felt bitter. Worse, Liam was back, stronger than ever. And he was still suspicious of me. Staying here had become impossible. I must leave. Otherwise, I would have no means of survival.

The first lady whined, but Moira was too confident for her, she came to stand at my front, her hands gently placed on her dress as she gave them a challenging front. I leaned towards Moira and whispered, “who are they?” “They are the Luna's of this pack, their group is referred to as the congregation of Luna's and Alexa is their leader.” Moira pointed at the lady in the middle and I chewed on my lower lip, nodding my head as I took note of them. “Ohh, please pardon our manners my Luna,” Alexa began with a tiny chuckle. “We didn't mean to startle you, we were just so excited to walk into you.” She explained.

Atlas’ POV “Luna Onyx, good morning.” One of my wolves greeted the woman that damn near took my breath away everytime our eyes met as she walked beside me through the halls. That title sounded so good, and I would never get tired of hearing it knowing the meaning behind it.

I could see he was both shocked and concerned. “I'm fine,” I murmured, even though I wasn't certain. “Just a bad dream, I guess. But this…” I raised my hands, where the last bits of blue light were disappearing. “I have no idea what this is.” Before Xander could respond, Lily entered, holding a big, leather-covered book. The book had the smell of old paper and magic. “I felt a disturbance,” lily said, her eyes darting between Xander and me. “And then I was drawn to this book in the library. I think… I think it might have answers about the awakening.”

I pushed my hair back as the wind blew in one direction flying my hair to my face. I turned my head back to glare at the door when I heard a crack from it. I turned fully with my back facing the window " Luna" a familiar woman entered with her head down as if worshipping my present, something I had come to terms with. I remembered her because it hadn't been long since the day she bumped into me and ruined my dress.

“Nothing.” She glanced toward Lana. “She’s not the one.” Lana’s eyes met mine briefly, dark, assessing, unreadable. I stood frozen, humiliated and trembling. My throat burned with unshed tears. Ariana smirked faintly. “I told you. She’s not worth the trouble.” Luna Sabrina didn’t look convinced. She circled me like a predator inspecting her prey. “Perhaps,” she said softly, “but appearances can deceive.” Luna Sabrina stepped closer, eyes narrowing. “Maybe she’s a spy,” she said quietly. “Who sent you? What have you heard?”

"But we have a situation that requires the Luna's attention." I exchanged glances with Draven. "What kind of situation?" "The kind involving a terrified sixteen-year-old Shadowborn who just manifested violently and is currently locked in her pack's cells awaiting execution." My exhaustion vanished. "Where?" Eastern territories. Small pack called Stone Ridge. The girl—her name is Elena—killed two warriors accidentally during her awakening. The pack Alpha has sentenced her to death." His violet eyes were grave. "They execute her at sunset tomorrow.

“What have you all planned or organized? Did you do anything specific?” I know Brittany was trying to make conversation, but it wasn’t landing. “I didn’t do any of that. I’ve never planned anything. I was the person standing in a pretty dress next to the person who needed protected. I was the silent muscle no one looked at. There were gun holsters around my thigh. I mastered the skill of flirting to distract men from getting close to who I was protecting.” “Sexy…” Brittany laughed. “I enjoyed it.” “Have you done luna training?”

Not fully awake, Luna heard the voice calling in singsong. "Hmmmm..." Luna hummed, stirring from her bed. Her comforter sliding off the bed. Rubbing her eyes awake, Luna sat up and tried to shake off her sleepy head. She instantly noticed the light coming from her window. She stood up and went to look outside. The wind is loud and strong. The trees are swaying. Its falling leaves whirled away by the wind forming waves and circles in the open air. The light coming from the moon shone bright, illuminating everything.
