Her hands moved with practiced ease, checking the bandages on my side, her fingers brushing against tender flesh.

Lucien didn't know if it got to his head back then or not, but thinking about it now, he realized he spent more time with Lucy and hardly knew a thing about Lillian. She distanced herself from him.
