I feel a single tear slide down my cheek as I turn and walk out of the café, I’ve never felt more humiliated about anything in my life. As soon as I’m far enough away from the café I let the tears really fall, because he never actually loved me and he must have just wanted to cross “American girl” off a list of things he wanted to accomplish.

Here I was hopelessly in love with a woman I could never have. I grabbed my gym bag and left our apartment. I needed a good workout to clear my head. I skipped the elevator and ran down the stairs and when I got to the front of the gym, I grabbed my ear buds and put them in and pulled up my playlist. Of course, the first fucking song that came in through my ear buds was Just the Way You Are. That was my song for Finny. I was trying to get her out of my head and not think about her anymore. I flung my bag over my shoulders and took off running. I only had two miles to get to the gym, and it would be a good warm up.

Tears streamed down their faces as they clung to each other, whispering names, memories, and half-finished sentences filled with raw emotion. Amelia and Blake stood awkwardly by the side, watching the emotional reunion unfold. Blake cleared his throat. “Well... this is dramatic.” Amelia shot him a glare. “Have some respect.” Blake smirked. “I am respecting it. I’m just saying, if this were a movie, it’d be the part where the background music swells.” Amelia rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at her lips. The two older women finally pulled back, wiping their tears. Evelyn cupped Ruby’s face, her eyes shining with disbelief. “I can’t believe it’s really you.”

Seeing things are not turning in a way that she thought of, she left his office. Now her main aim was to get the person away as soon as possible. Although, she didn’t achieve what she dreamt of but still she felt contented somewhat as Reese got mentally affected and upper clans now know about her to some extent. She called the person who she has given the contract for this chaos. He didn’t pick the phone. She tried calling him many times but still, she was not able to get through. Her heart panicked a little and she called her friend Kim, who introduced the person.

Sometimes, their silhouettes overlapped, as if they were moving in step. In another city, Jake returned home looking hollow and defeated. Xena ran out the moment she saw his car pull in. “Jake! I was wrong! You’re the only one I’ve ever loved. I drank so much overseas because I missed you so badly and couldn’t come home. “Just give me one more chance. I promise I’ll change. Jake, please look at me. I’m your Xena. You really want to leave me?” Jake glanced at her. That was when it hit him. The woman he once thought he would love for the rest of his life wasn’t even half as beautiful as Madison.

"Let go of me! I won't go back with you!" But William refused to let me go. He lowered his tone. "I'll have a proper talk with you once we get back. Just give me one more chance." I told William that I didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. "I'm not going to give you another chance!" After that, I shoved him away with all my strength. "Don't touch me! Also, stay the hell away from me! Axel is the man I love right now!" William swayed heavily a few times because of the force. Once he steadied himself on his feet, he tried to drag me over to his side once again.
