As she read the story, she picked up a leaf and began to chew on it absentmindedly. The taste was bitter, but she had grown accustomed to it. She savored the sharp tang of the leaf and let it invigorate her senses. The book was a romance novel, and Aurora couldn't help but giggle at the foolish behavior of the characters. She talked to herself as she read, lost in the story. As she turned the page, she paused to take another leaf from the pouch. Suddenly, she heard a noise outside her door.

She rattled on about how she loves to read books especially love stories and how happy she’s to get a new friend who happens to share the same hobby with her. I don’t fancy love stories because I can easily predict what’s gonna happen next like who wouldn’t? Besides, it’s kind of boring to read the same plot repeatedly; boy meeting the girl, girl meeting the boy, starting from simple infatuation to attraction, then one of’em will confess, and BAM! They start dating and blah blah blah. It’s predictable. I’d rather read genres like adventure, action, crime, thriller, fantasy, etc., where things’re not much predictable plus you’ve to use your brain. At least you can learn something new. “Here w

She loved how they used to spend some time in the library, reading books and sneaking food; how they used to stay in the gym after class to play basketball; how they used to go to the beach with their families and enjoy summer; how they used to play soccer at school and go home with multiple scratches on their knees. She loved how they used to play in the rain and get runny noses right after; how they endlessly bickered and conversed satirically until one of them get pissed; how they used to share everything and not keep secrets from each other; how he used to care for her-how he used to love her.
