“I don’t want him to touch me,” I said with a genuine shudder. “Is he really that crazy?”
“He was Dr. Mokena’s patient for years. She had him committed, but, somehow, he got the psychiatric committee to declare him fit to walk free,” Marc said, softly.
“I wish I didn’t know that,” I whimpered.
“I’ll never lie to you,” Marc said.
“I guess that’s something,” I replied.
“Joshua loves you, but so do I,” he admitted. “Remember that.”
