I refused to join them because I don't like to pretend I was enjoying a vacation when I have a lot of things going on in my mind. I started reading the book Aae left as a gift for Christmas. He went home while Tita Annly spent the breaks at the hospital. Like me, she's not fond of celebrating. I just visited the church during Christmas Eve and watched the fireworks outside the porch. It was sad, but I like it. I made a lot of realizations these past few days. I already touched the soft edge of the book when my eyes caught a glimpse of the flower pot near my coffee. The pink-fern like petals were swaying a little as the wind brushed against my hair.

“Some men would love to find a beautiful wolf laying here, ready to ravish.” “Are you trying to be cringey or is it an accident?” “Shut up. Do you want to head back? Or live out a common fantasy?” “Is shagging in a hay loft a common fantasy?” “If my gran’s bodice rippers are anything to go by.” “Maybe it was just your gran.” “Those books are apparently very popular. She told me I should read them, learn what a lady wants.” “Did you?” “I tried, couldn’t get past how bad they are.”

Melanie couldn't bear it anymore, so she shouted out, "This book is terrible, who wrote it." Mr Freddy, brought the book close to his face then read outloud, "Howard McDonald." "Terrible name." Adam said. "Agreed." The class yeld. "Its no wonder his books are terrible." They agreed. "Then why do people read it." Daniel asked. Mr Freddy, just smiles and gently replies, "Why else, to argue of course. Oh come on, no one likes this book, they just like arguing about it." No one was surprised about this, if more than half of the class including the teacher hated this book then the possibility of the world hating the book was high.

Sunlight filtered through a thick blue curtain, illuminating a small room located in the attic. Right by the door was a large wooden desk, painted white, and a swivel chair. Under the desk was a trash can filled to the brim with some papers, soda bottles, and salty snack wrappers. On the desk there was a laptop in a silver casing, a pile of notebooks and books, and a tiny lamp. Above the desk there was a large shelf with a lot of books - from textbooks, through readings, to romances. Here and there, there were photos framed in colorful frames and many other ornaments such as jugs, figurines, etc.

Liz read too softly. It was a boring book. Something Gwen had liked before everything went wrong. Liz didn’t care much for it, but she read anyway, her voice low and even. She thought to herself that if this boring book would make her mother feel even slightly better, then she was satisfied. She hated how fragile her mother looked now, and she hated what she was doing behind the woman’s back even more. While Gwen lay here, pale and almost bloodless, Liz was having the time of her life bedding her husband.
