Lucian studied me, his eyes moved across my form before staring into my eyes as if trying to see if there was a soul in there. Lucian shook his arms out with a heavy exhale. He licked his lips, then stepped forward. Lucian's feathery wings hardened, becoming his armor, his shield. One by one, each feather changed in rapid concession until his wings were smooth, and solid, stronger than any metal on Earth. My lips twitched up on the side. How could I blame him? His eyes narrowed at my smirk, and Azalea squeezed my hand, a quiet reprimand. Unfortunately, my mouth lacks a filter, and I have no desire to correct it.

I didn’t have to look up,I knew the scent of jasmine, old paper, and death anywhere. “Lilith,” I said flatly. “You’re not welcome here, what makes you think you can come and go as you please.” She entered anyway, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor,and behind her, of course, came him. Lucario. I finally looked up. Lucario’s eyes were like twin blades, they were sharp and assessing. “You look like hell,” he said casually. “Charming as always,” I muttered. Lilith’s crimson lips curved. “You’ve been starving.”

The elite guards cheered for their King and watched the fight anxiously. Lucian did not move as his father charged towards him in his beast form. His father’s beast was around ten foot tall with a jet black fur similar to that of his beast, the only difference was the color of their eyes. Lucian’s were bright blue, while his father's bright amber eyes burned like fire. They might be similar yet so different. Lucian dodged the incoming beast at the last moment moving to the other end of the circle. Antonio crashed against the invisible barrier and turned around with his rage doubling up.

Kael shouted, his voice strained as he blocked another attack. Lucian didn’t respond. Instead, he raised his hand, a low growl escaping his lips as dark energy coiled around him. The air crackled with power, and with a sweeping motion, he unleashed a wave of energy that sent the creatures scattering like ashes in the wind. The silence that followed was deafening. Aria staggered back, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath. Her eyes met Lucian’s, and for a moment, she saw something in his gaze—a flicker of vulnerability, of weariness.

How can one skinny girl escape his packhouse and avoid so many patrols like it’s nothing? “Ahh!”, a cry pulled Luciano out of his thoughts, and he realized that he dislocated the shoulder of his sparring partner. Something seemed off. Unaware of the wary gazes of his warriors, Luciano continued sparring with his next victim… cough, cough… with his next partner, while his mind was stuck on the girl with copper-coloured hair.

I saw West crying on the ground. “Luna!” He shouted. Did I saw humans? They are the one who causes chaos. I saw the Luna falls from the 3rd floor and landed in front of West. I gasp. Someone pushes her! I want to go near them. “Luna,” Cresia just smiled. “I’ll be back.” Those are her last words. West transformed into a werewolf and howl in pain. I opened my eyes and sat down. I gasp some air. I am still in the bathtub.

His wolf’s eyes glimmered, catching the reflection of the blood eclipse overhead, and for a heartbeat, Serena saw something almost ancient in him—like he had been born to stand against gods. Lucian didn’t wait. With a growl that shook the clearing, he hurled himself forward, already half-shifted. Bones cracked and elongated, black fur exploding across his skin as his amber eyes burned with raw fire. He met the nearest champion with teeth and claws, the collision so violent that the ground split open beneath their weight.

~ Aria's POV ~ Lucian was supposed to be stronger than me. He was an incubus, two centuries old. Yet somehow, I had sent him flying into the wall as if he was weightless. All I had done was pull my hand free from his when he kept insisting I leave Velmora… but the moment I yanked away, something inside me snapped, and he was thrown across the room. "Lucian!" My voice cracked as I rushed toward him, my heart pounding. I couldn’t understand how I’d just hurled a powerful incubus across the room without even trying.
