My breath was shaky as I awaited what was to follow. “I do not love you, Elora Amoh, and never will. So do yourself a favor and leave. I have a wedding to complete.” My body shook vigorously as each word sank in slowly. Each word that I hoped was unreal. The nights of bliss we had been nothing but a lie. His confessions every time, the way he would stare at me, the words of encouragement, everything had been a lie. My eyes started to sting with tears. “You-” Words failed me.

“Just… a nightmare.” I pressed a palm to my chest. My heart was still racing like a stampede through my ribs. Another knock followed, softer this time. “My Queen?” came Adela’s voice. “May I come in?” I exhaled and dragged myself out of bed. “Yes, come in.” Adela stepped in cautiously, worried on her face. “You sounded… frightened. Is it about Lucian?” I nodded, unable to meet her gaze. “A nightmare. I saw him… but he wasn’t himself. There was darkness surrounding him. Something… wrong.”

“But remember, not all dreams aren't real. They're like movies playing in our minds while we sleep.” I opened my mouth to argue. “But—“ “I understand you, child.” Luciana smiled, cutting her short. “I do but what I am certain of is that not all visions are as seen, they sometimes have a different meaning to what meets our eye. The past cannot repeat itself and that was what your nightmare was about tonight, I would say you were only relieving what could’ve been the happiest moment of your life and what was the saddest moment of your life as well too.”

Instant silence. "EVERYONE SHUT UP!" My Alpha voice filled the room with raw power. "Yes, we're in trouble. Big trouble. But screaming won't solve anything. Tomorrow morning, we figure out who's responsible and how to fix it. Until then, everyone stays calm." The silence felt fragile, like thin ice over a frozen lake. Every face showed the same thing—desperate hope mixed with complete doubt. Lucas's voice cut through the quiet: "Twenty-four hours, Andre. After that, we choose someone else."

She asked. "Yah, true! Where is she?" Lilian became sober, clenching her jacket around her waist. "We – We couldn't find her. I think –" I swallowed the lump in my throat. "She –She had a nightmare, she woke up terrifically –then–she asked for water, that – was – Gosh! I shouldn't have –" I was trying to explain to them, but I ended up stuttering, speaking gibberish. "Clam down! This isn't the time to regret anything, let –let's just look for her." Lilian concluded, and they supported, nook and cranny while calling her name. ~~~

David pronounced. Katie used her powers to check who could be the officer who was informed by the police. After ten minutes Katie said, “He is not here. We shall come in the morning.” Marcus and David nodded. They then left from there. ~~~~~ In the morning, Lucian’s sleep broke and he found Alieana was snuggled to him. A smile formed on his lips. “I got a good sleep without any nightmares for the first time,” Lucian murmured. Yes, Lucian used to get nightmares every night. After losing Fiona, nightmares were common for him. In those nightmares, he used to see only one thing- how Fiona died in his arms. But today it was different.

the darkness parted and Arabella stepped through leaving behind the scent of vanilla and roses. Lucians dreams caused him to call out. “Bella … Bella, where are you?” Morning found Lucian lying on his back on the wooden floor snoring loudly at the ceiling. A groan left his lips as he rolled to his side. Curses poured out as he sat up and held his head. For just a minute his dreams swarmed around him like a child’s merry-go-round, then they were gone. A thousand jack hammers pounded in his head making him nauseous. Swallowing hard, he tried to capture the dreams as they turned to smoke. The harder he tried to remember the harder his head hurt.

AFTER Lily I wake up at six AM. Groggy and damp with sweat. I had another nightmare featuring Luc. We were arguing on a shore, foamy waves lapping at our ankles. Strong winds hoisted us up in the air, somehow when we were flung at the middle of the ocean Luc could swim perfectly, floating weightlessly on the dark, angry waters. But I was sinking fast like a heavy boulder. My mouth like an open cave, calling out for Luc, water infiltrated my lungs and the wiry hands of the ocean pulled me into its belly.

She pressed her thighs together as she cried while he sat on the wooden chair, catching his breath. She closed her eyes as her whole body trembled in fear and pain. She felt like she was in her worst nightmare and she couldn't wake up from her dream. The person she loved the most had turned into a ferocious beast that tormented her mercilessly, making her heart shatter into tiny pieces. ******** "Violet! Don't go with him! Don't leave me!" Lucian said as he opened his eyes, waking up from his nightmare. His body was sweating, his breath was rushing as his heart was racing. He dreamed Darius took Violet from him.
