Assistant to Mr. Whitmore

Assistant to Mr. Whitmore

With the kind of authority that doesn’t need to be earned, it just is. Noah, on the other hand, was always the warm light to Lucian’s cold shadow. Where Lucian was guarded, Noah was open. Where Lucian walked with silence, Noah filled the air with laughter. Being around Noah felt like breathing fresh spring air; being around Lucian feels like walking a tightrope – steady, focused, always one misstep away from falling. Lucian never scared me because he was cruel. He scared me because I could never quite figure him out. And deep down, I still don’t know if that’s fear… or fascination.

HIDDEN PASSION

HIDDEN PASSION

But why would he leave the gates open? ***** "What are you talking about?" Linda said, trying to play her cards right and see if she would be lucky enough to get by. She walked closer to Nathaniel who only moved away from her. "Shut the fuck up and answer me!" he screamed. All kinds of thoughts kept running through his mind. "Why the fuck on earth are you Linda? Why are you Lillian? How come you have that fucking inscription on your arm?" "Because I am Lillian, Nathaniel. We were childhood friends." She had been caught but she wouldn't just give up like that. And besides, she liked him.

The Billionaire’s Masked Obsession

The Billionaire’s Masked Obsession

Her expression shifted almost instantly as her brows pulled together in recognition. “Do you know this person?” Lucian asked. “Yes,” she answered without hesitation. “I know him far too well. He isn’t someone a person easily forgets.” Lucian’s posture straightened. “Are you certain you aren’t confusing him with another ward?” “I am positive,” Martha replied with a nod of conviction. “Nathaniel was the one child who brought nothing but chaos to this facility. He fled the grounds with his girlfriend the moment he realized he was facing charges for fraud and a brutal assault.”

“You mentioned you didn’t have time to teach me, so I asked Uncle Lucian to tutor me, and he agreed. I hope to see more of you, Nathaniel. Goodnight.” She curtsied gracefully, then briefly nodded at Sarang with a warm smile, before turning to her carriage. Nathaniel and Sarang watched silently as the princess departed, her carriage disappearing into the growing night. They exchanged a glance, worry flickering in their eyes. This was not a good sign. Lucian sat in his study, a glass of liquor in one hand and an evening newspaper in the other. The door barged open, disrupting the quiet ambiance, and Nathaniel stormed in and slamming it shut behind him.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S FORGOTTEN WIFE: My Husband's Redemption

THE BILLIONAIRE'S FORGOTTEN WIFE: My Husband's Redemption

My eyes drift toward the floor, and that’s when I see it — the local morning paper lying half-folded beside the coffee table. I reach down and freeze when I see the front page. It’s a picture of Nathaniel and Amanda from last night. They look perfect, like they belong together. “You’ve already seen this?” I ask quietly. Lucy glances down, and when she sees what I’m holding, she grabs the paper from my hands and tosses it across the room, her jaw tight. “Yeah, I saw it. I just didn’t want to bring it up.” I shake my head, staring at where the paper landed on the floor. “Look at them, Lu. He’s doing all of this because of her. He’s willing to risk everything for her — the company, the family n

Kat, first of all, congratulations on finishing it. There were things I didn't care for—like Rhys and Amanda, and the fact that her motive was weak and flawed—but overall, it's a good book. You did a great job. Congratulations again. Kisses. ( ◜‿◝ )♡

Author Kat.E, Thank you for a great story. I would love to read more about Nathaniel and Betty like her getting pregnant and Nathaniel rebuilding a company as Betty's has taken off and Rhys took over as CEO . Perhaps a love story about Rhys and Lucy. Maybe some reckoning for Nathaniel's mom

A Murderer's Lover

A Murderer's Lover

She must do it often. He was suddenly reminded of the invitation that was thrust into his hand. He could barely believe that Lucinda was a real person. Beautiful, but too wild for her own good. "Will we get caught?" Celie snickered. "You've been living with a genius. It's pretty insulting to think she'll get us caught." Jean Luc glanced at Lucinda. Beautiful, wild and a bad influence. He found himself nodding at the foolish suggestion. He would never agree to such things, but he found himself curious to find out more of her antics.

The Wife He Threw Away

Not amused. Not impressed. “You had the chance to prove that,” he said. Lucian’s attention shifted to him slowly. “And you think you can do better?” Nathaniel didn’t hesitate. “Yes.” The word sat there. Unapologetic. Lucian took a step forward. “You think that makes you the better man?” “I think I wouldn’t have lost her in the first place,” Nathaniel replied. The temperature in the room dropped. I felt it. Even in my state. Even through the fog.

Author I'm really enjoying your story. I apologize for my bluntness with the reader who uses letters instead of actual words but I'm 'old school' where you say it up front and don't beat around the bush. I believe not using words but a bunch of nonsensical letters is rude and insulting !

"But thank you. I don't know if that will ever happen but it's a thoughtful gesture. I ain't heard those for a while." The pair exchanged a look. A look that lasted an iota too long and Lloyd quickly glanced back down at his book. "I'll look in the other books later," he mumbled, turning away with a redness to his cheeks. "I don't want to think of demons and curses right now..." Nathaniel took out one of his journals. Torturing himself yet again. "I wish you luck, lad. To do that, you'll need it."

The Dominant Alpha's Perfect Obsession with his Janitor

“You mean to saddle me with things that don’t matter? I’ll have you know I went to an Ivy League school, so I can handle the finances better than you can dream of.” The voice answered. He knew the voice…. But he couldn’t place a face to it. That, forced him to enter the room and draw both their attention. Noah Stone. He finally placed the voice as his eyes addressed the man seated comfortably opposite Lucien. The lilac scent grew stronger when Noah noticed his gaze on him. “Oh! You’re home.” Noah added, his face brightening as he stood, but Niklaus only spared a quick glance before turning away from him and pinning Lucien to the couch with a fierce glare.
