Waking up again in this hell hole makes me whimper. I am not sure how long it’s been since the ball, but I’ve been trying to count the sunrises and sunsets the best I can. I think it’s around ten days give or take. I frequently pass out from the exhaustion, so I am just not sure anymore.

Sharon cried. "Luna! I am the last person you should try to convince. I know you would never hurt, let alone kill anyone. Someone is framing you. I wish I could help you find the person." "Maybe you can. The murder weapon was found in my room, perhaps your wolf could sniff out who put it there." Sharon suggested. Gaia hesitated. "Oh Luna! I can't." "Please Gaia. I know you don't trust your wolf but I do. I know you can do it."

But he wasn’t prepared for what waited inside—what she had become in the months he thought she’d remain the same. Tonight, the Luna he never expected was beginning to wake. LEANNA’S POV My breath came out in large pants as I stopped in front of my cabin. My hand hovered over the door knob as memories of how our last conversation ended resurfaced in my mind. I stepped into the cabin with reddened eyes, making my way through the living room, only to pause in my steps as I found his figure wrapped in blankets on the couch. “Romeo,” I whispered, hoping he would turn to the sound of my voice, and give me that smile of his that always seemed to reach his eyes.

I would become Luna. Damon’s Luna. I had waited years for this. I had held on to that hope even when the whispers started, even when the looks followed me wherever I went. The pack house was already awake. Movement filled the halls, voices rising, footsteps passing quickly. Decorations were being placed, flowers carried from one end of the building to the other. Still, the whispers found me. “They say she’s cursed.” “She’s not fit.” I heard them. I walked past them. Damon chose me.

I took a long look at it. I know they had chosen tonight on purpose. Tonight was meant to be sacred. Tonight was supposed to be the night Danica swore her vows under the moon and claimed her place as the River Moon Pack's Luna. But instead, it had turned into chaos. I let out a slow breath and let my thoughts be tangled for a while. Fate had other plans for Ryan and his pack. "Georgina." Marius's voice was low while pulling me gently back from the weight of my thoughts. His hand brushed mine lightly before wrapping around my fingers again.

“You saved Seraphine. You saved all these people in your new life.” Her breath shook violently. “But you didn’t save me.” “No,” Alessia sobbed. “No, please—this isn’t true—it’s not!” He knelt in front of her. The darkness behind him pulsed like a heartbeat. “Why did you leave me alone, Luna?” She covered her ears. The Noctis illusions pressed harder. I called back. Noah and I got dressed quickly and went downstairs. Gabriel was sitting at the kitchen table with a woman who looked to be in her fifties, with long silver hair and the same silver eyes as Gabriel. "Luna," I said, walking over to hug her. "It's so good to see you again." "Hello, dear," Luna said warmly. "You look tired." "She's been having visions," Noah said, taking a seat at the table. Luna's expression became serious. "What kind of visions?"

Living as a Luna put her life and the people around her in danger. "You've always been stupid and ignorant," Yarusoyya retorted. "That's why I intend to replace you." Yarusoyya grinned ferociously. She approached Rula, closing the distance between them. "Unfortunately, you are pregnant with Rondolf's child." Rula replied seriously. "I won't let you take my place as Luna!" She began to defend her ego. "Luna is me, and I am Luna." Yarusoyya became silent. After their long conversation, only Rula was emotionally provoked at the moment. Yarusoyya managed to overcome her anger.

They lay on the ground helplessly, and my Luna was already getting first aid treatment from the pack's omegas. "What's the meaning of this I'm seeing, Aysel? Who did this to you both? Tell me, and I'll strangle them to death," I reverberated. "Who else, if not your Luna?" she responded in a low tone. I was dumbfounded by what I heard.
