Married My Ex's Uncle In My Second Time
I’m just finishing up a small report draft when I hear a soft knock on my office door.
“Hey, new girl,” comes a familiar voice.
I look up to see Jasmine, one of the first people to show me kindness here. She’s a data visualist with a sweet personality, colorful earrings, and a smile that could win awards.
“It’s lunchtime,” she says, tapping her wristwatch dramatically. “Come with me. You’ve officially earned a Friday friend lunch.”
I smile, grateful. “Thanks. Just let me finish up this last sentence.”
She leans in conspiratorially. “Unless the sentence is ‘I am joining Jasmine for lunch,’ I suggest you save it as a draft and log out.”
