Think of tiny flowerbeds dotted with marigolds and roses.
In the distance, the ocean stretched out, shimmering under the sun like a giant sheet of broken glass. There was a pool, oddly connected to the sea. The pool had a narrow, arched bridge that looked like it was made from real wood, but on closer look, I saw it was cement painted to resemble wood, a clever trick.
I kept following the dog until it led me to one of the cottages. Inside, I spotted Liam in the kitchen, wearing his usual “cooking outfit”—a white sleeveless top, this time paired with beach shorts and an apron.
