Magkaibang magkaiba ang mundong kinalakihan at ginagalawan ni Sofia at Catherine. Sa panahon ng kanilang kabataan ay madalas si Sofia ang naging tagapagtanggol at taga salba ni Catherine makaraos lamang ng pagaaral. Matalik silang magkaibigan at halos magkahawig.
