Then, to everyone's surprise, Stefan got up with the help of his friend and then took a knee in front of Katia. She looked at him in surprise and concern. "Believe me, asking you to marry me in this place was not what I had in mind, but... I think it will have to be here," said the German, taking the hands of the woman in front of him. The door of the room opened, giving way to Junior and Monica who came from the cafeteria. "We have known each other for some time now and if I were given the opportunity to repeat our first meeting, I would repeat it over and over again... except when you yelled at me, of course," Katia laughed lightly, closed her eyes and bowed her head. After the life of violence I have witnessed with Antonio, I think I just might stick to being held as a prisoner. At least I would be protected. Ah! I almost lost my life some hours ago. Thank God, Antonio came to my rescue. A part of me appreciates him, the other knows it is only for the baby. Now that I carry his child, he would look out for me more. I thought about it. Maybe It's time I demand for it. I am pregnant for a mafia king. Antonio Dante of the mafia kingdom. I should be treated like a queen. Ah, my headaches.

They kept me hidden, not wanting the other mafia dons to see me. And now, in the greatest irony of all, a mafia don was my husband. The driver opened the door, but before I could move, Nikolai grasped my hand in a warning. And I understood what he wanted from me. He helped me out of the car, and my skin burned wherever he touched me. A number of cameras flashed on our faces. Photographers, journalists, and onlookers were desperate to capture a glimpse of the ruthless Mafia King and his new bride, while Nikolai ignored them all. The flashes were too bright, making it hard to see.

“I like Italian food and also horse riding. I hate cheater and liar and well you should know this thing about your husband especially. I am NewYork most feared mafia leader. I own the most vicious and dangerous gang, Scorpionto. I am mafia my dear wife....” Nathan said each word clearly and Sophia slowly raised her head with clear horror on her face as her eyes locked with his, the stainer fell from her hand.....

I smirked, got out and rounded the car to open her door for her, my hand extended, ready to take her’s. She slapped it away and scrambled out. Her hands fisted her dress as her eyes fell on the people standing on the porch, ready to welcome her. I guided her slowly towards them, my hand on her waist. And surprisingly, she didn't fight it. “Everyone, I present before you my bride, Jade De Santo. She would be your new mistress, the Mafia Queen. I expect you all to accord her the same respect you give me. It would be better if I pull out your heart from your chest than for you to disrespect her. Is that understood?" I asked calmly, like I didn't just spew out threats.

I said before I continued my speech. "Ummm so I need a bride as soon as yesterday. I have drawn up a contract which states that I will marry a girl and offer her 3 million dollars and after 6 months we go our separate ways. Pretend as though nothing happened." I said, and lifted right her eyebrow in awe as I pushed the file papers across the table to her. "So, here is the contract. You're the chosen girl for me." I said and handed her the contract with a smirk and she looked dumbfounded and bewildered. Her mouth was just hanging open, speechless and in shock.

Articles, photos, speculations– all of it centred around my disappearance, my reappearance with Luca, and of course, the party. That silly party where I just had to kiss Luca. My lips twitched as I read through the headlines. The public was eating it up. "Mafia Princess or Mafia Pawn? Caterina De Luca’s Shocking Abduction" "Caterina and Luca: Love or Hostage Situation?" "Alessandro: The Heartbroken Groom-to-Be Left at the Altar" Ha! I nearly laughed at that one. If only they knew the monster behind Alessandro’s perfect smile, the cruelty hidden behind his pretty words.

Mark sarcastically said, which made Kim poke him. “If you don’t have anything sensible to say, just keep your mouth shut.” Kim glared at him as she gritted her teeth. Mark rolled his eyes and mocked his twin. “Can’t we look for my daughter now? We are wasting our time here.” Diego butted in. He just arrived, riding with his wheelchair and being pushed by his personal nurse. “Diego,” Anastacia approached his husband. “How’d you know?” She asked. “The wedding is all on the news. And Mariane was the talk of the town. They even call her the Runaway Bride.” He informed them.

One of them said, smiling at him. His name was Massimo. It sounded like a mafia name. Was he a mafia boss? Oh, no. No way. He held my hand as we entered the hall, Luca was behind us. “Massimo is here!” Someone screamed from the crowd. “Mama!” That same voice called again. His hands wouldn't leave mine even though I felt so uncomfortable. “You're about to meet my family, Freckles. You are my wife now. Your mother's bills are sorted already. Just act normal.” He leaned down to whisper these disgusting words into my ears. I couldn't comprehend what I had just heard.

I refused to be the reason why untouched girls from my tribe suffer. As soon as we reached the clearing, he dropped me to the ground where I stared wide-eyed at him, he was bigger than every other man I have seen. “Orel, what is the meaning of this?” an old man in dirty robes asks as gasps rented the air when they realized that I was not dead or raped. “My bride.” My captor replied tautly. “Don’t be ridiculous Orel, you cannot choose a Maiden Of The Hunt as your bride.” A woman dressed fancily replies, her manner of clothing meant she was of noble birth.
