Selene's voice echoed around us, it was filled with such rage that it caused both Damion and me to look at her. She held her arms to her side and was levitating off of the ground by a foot. Electric currents flowed from her fingers and her eyes glowed with fury. She gritted her teeth and with a powerful cry she thrust her hand forward and from it shot bolts of gold lightning. Her teacher told her of those expensive lights. Those orbs were called magicites; magical spheres crafted from monster cores by rune magus. The orbs filled the expansive halls every four or five meters, illuminating the entire halls. There was also the long crimson-hued carpet extending throughout the floor. And then there were the guards. Lili gulped and almost ran away. “Ignore them. They won’t do anything,” The old mistress said. “Just continue walking. We’re already near.”

As soon as everyone is on the field the Exam Master began. “We’re going to start with your power ball. Let me see your magic” we did so. Everyone created a power ball in our hands. I saw some mage created a ball of wind, fire, rock, mirror, cloud and a lot more. On my right hand is a ball of light. I was smiling at my magic ball until I was blinded with so much light. The light was too blinding that I was sure that I wasn’t the only one who was affected. After almost a minute, the blinding light started to vanish into thin air and my sight was back to normal. I saw almost all the mages looking at me. I was in the back most of the crowd so they were all looking back to me.
