Silence. Utterly awkward silence looms over the room after Madame Maida’s long story telling of the history of her family roots, the Aswang clan. I could assume everybody present here knew or heard of the story before me. They were staring at me, as if waiting for my violent reactions, which I denied them off, at the expense of their disappointments.
I heard Amaltheo’s faint snort, like he was telling me I was such a bore, cold-hearted fool. It wasn’t the case, though. The story made me cringed, too overwhelming that I could not even realize my emotions over it.
