I answered. “Now, go to the parking behind the apartment nearest to the Han River. Get inside my car. I can automatically open it for you. Just inform me when you get there. Enter on the driver’s side. Then get the clothes under the backseat. Change there. Then call me again. Understand?” Black Dragon explained to me. Even though I hate being commanded, I have to obey him. I knew I already failed on this mission. “Got it.” I cautiously said. “Oh, and remember, keep your eyes open to men having a tattoo on their right back hand. Two swords forming an X.” he finished and I remembered the balloons’ design.

I didn't take cautious steps towards it until I yanked it off the bed, thinking it was Daemon or Oliver playing a stupid game with me. I tore the envelope open and yanked out the small card that was embedded inside it. “I'm the black bird outside your room. Throw the card in the fire if you're all set up.” I turned towards my window, and surely, a black bird perched on the sill, staring at me with curious eyes. I tilted my head to the side and walked towards the fire place that had already been lit and cackling, and I threw the card into the fire. The bird poked the glass window with its beak and flew away immediately. It meant one thing, our bargain had just started, and my first goal was t

Evan thought as a glint of cruelty passed flash his eyes. As expected, after a few minutes of fighting, the big bird with brown and black feathers fall from the sky after it was defeated, the person who seems to be the one who is leading the group in white also fell wounded from the trees. His junior brothers immediately attended to him when he spat out blood, his face pale.

“Only for birds. They can be fiercely intelligent. They are hunters that cannot be contained to one location. They rule the skies. How could I not admire them?” What I’m about to say is interrupted as the Firebird awakens, her black eyes glowing a bright golden yellow. She spreads her wings as wide as she can in the cage and bursts into flames. King Myenas and I are stuck watching as the bird self-immolates, her flesh and bones burning into a pile of ashes at the bottom of the metal cage. “It’s dead!” King Myenas looks shocked. I urge him to look at the pile of ashes as a tiny bird’s head pops out. Her black eyes stare up at us, new and inquisitive. She makes chirping noises.

"*sighs* Get on with it then. Hikaru's head hung with much exhaustion. I grinned and continued drawing more symbols directing the curse to hit the soul. But before I could write Hikaru's name he immediately stops me and writes rock. The summoning circle fills up with black magic before hitting the nearest rock and as soon as it did. It turns into a stone bird that cannot fly nor walk but sings. Hikaru just glares at me knowingly. " That was a lucky shot?" I questioned. " *Groans* Come on! As if I don't have enough problems."

The same strength sucking world she’d insisted on walking one last time before the boys got back. I looked down at her, eyes closed, teeth clenched, struggling to hang on. I balanced her silver ring, a gift from our Mother, on my knee and pulled my grey sleeve over my finger tips, dabbing at the beading sweat on her forehead. Something was happening in the Blacklands and for the first time in memory, Shades were crossing the Southern boundry in droves, bringing with them their violet sky and starless nights. They didn’t eat, they didn’t sleep, they didn’t stop. They just kept coming, pushing us back and taking our land, leaving a sea of dead bodies in their wake.

They lurked slowly until they came across a pair of feet behind the bushes, black feet. "Oh my God.." Polly said. No, it can't be. Ernest thought. Ernest took the first step, each more hesitant than the last before he finally approached the other side and fell to his knees. This caused Polly and Michael to rush over and gasp. A Black girl with clear bruises scattered amongst her body. Her mouth agape, eyes wide with old tears down her face staring into the sky as if she had asked God for help. To save her. But no answer.

Well, at least I finally got something I can do as a mage, right? Water splintered like glistening crystals as I turned and followed the rhythm with precision. I closed my eyes as I continued on my track, there was another smooth splash. Once again, I turned and leaped a little, then faced the audience and opened my eyes. I thought I'd see my expectants watching me in awe. But to my surprise, my line of vision was directed to a pair of unfamiliar pitch black eyes, the darkest shade of black I've ever seen in my whole life.

Only this time, there was no Havoc jumping out to ward off danger as I run for the forest. Once I pass the tree line, a much larger version of the black wolf is there, waiting. I turn to go and have an enemy on either side and nowhere to run. The bigger of the two wolves shifts back to his human form. He’s massive, with long black hair and even darker eyes, a scar running along his jawline on the left side of his otherwise strangely handsome face. ‘This one is full of Evil’, Bella said as I backed up against the tree nearest where I stood, shifting myself.
