My life was in limbo, and I was just floating along. I rarely spent the night at home, but nobody questioned me because everyone was busy with the wedding. I switched the water in the shower off and wrapped a towel around my waist.
“Shit, I’m late,” I said, as I walked into her bedroom.
“I can’t believe you’re getting married today,” she said, and sat upright in the bed and watched me getting dressed.
Kari, Adara, and Saga had planned everything in just three weeks, and today, we would get married. It was hard to explain, when I was with Kari she was distant and moody and I just agreed with whatever she wanted and put it down to hormones.
