"Imagine, getting married to me at the ceremony your girlfriend planned. It's like she's part of it too. Exciting, isn't it?"
Frank paused for a long time before he finally agreed.
Then, my manuscript went missing.
I watched Frank, who had grabbed my phone but could not seem to shut it off, his hands shaking. The revulsion I had felt before surged back.
With a taste for revenge, I asked, "Can you even grasp how all this makes me feel?"
Frank's eyes were filled with a desperate plea as he shook his head.
"You disgust me," I said flatly.
I had intentionally given him the crystal ball, and the card was no accident either.
