MY HUSBAND'S HIDDEN TRUTH

MY HUSBAND'S HIDDEN TRUTH

When I get home that night, I found a note on my doorstep Leander’s handwriting: “I planted more marigolds in the garden. Your mom said they bring good luck. Can’t wait to meet our little one.” I walked into the house, the journal tucked under my arm, and look out at the garden where the marigolds are blooming bright. For the first time in a long time, I feel completely at peace. The road here was hard, but every step was worth it. And the best part? Everything is starting like what it used to before.

Mr.CEO Don't Choose Me

Mr.CEO Don't Choose Me

ls said, "But Beau you…" "UGH! No, no, no," Marigold shouted. Carls and Beau looked at the door and Carls knocked on the door, saying, "Is everything alright Miss Marigold." Marigold shouted, "No, UGH everything's ruined." Carls said, "I'm coming in Miss Marigold," and he (Carls) opened the door, entering the room, getting hit with the strong aroma of a floral fragrance, and seeing Marigold dressed in light blue skinny jeans, white wedges that had an ankle cuff, and a white front knot shirt that's sleeves cut off around the shoulders. She stood on top of a puddle that had bits of broken glass in it. In her hands she held a broken perfume bottle. Her pants were darkened from a huge wet spot.

THE MAFIA KING'S OBSESSION

THE MAFIA KING'S OBSESSION

I said out loud, running my hand on the dusty thick back book designed with lavender flowers. Staring at the book jolted my memory to the first time I arrived here. Rose said Farrell loved lavender, and seeing this book gave more meaning to why he loved it. It was all about Maria. I felt a pang of jealousy in my chest because it seemed like I was living in her own image, and I was doing that to satisfy him. Even at that, I fought my mind to focus on the main reason why I was here.

MAY

MAY

"Oh, you noticed. But it isn't something you should worry about, you know. Your dad just needs some time. He'll come around." It was something she was telling herself too. Something she wished would happen soon. "Okay, mommy." Maryam picked up her book. "What are you reading?" asked May, trying to start up a new conversation. She didn't see the book's title because half of the purple cover was peeled off. "Purple Hibiscus," Maryam replied excitedly. "Written by Chimamanda Adichie, my favorite author," she added. "Isn't that too much for you? Do you even understand a word?" May thoughtfully asked.

maramartha
May represents a large number of women that are constantly abused in their homes but still manage to smile and live through it. I hope women in similar situations reading this book get some of the happiness that May gets.
The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful

The Forbidden Daffodil

The Forbidden Daffodil

When it comes down to thinking about Love, people get confused. I am taking the dance shoes you bought once from me. I am taking a few more things with me which will remain with me forever. In return I have nothing to give you except some painful memories from my end. But I grew a small bunch of Daffodils down there at the side of the lawn these days. Take care of them as they were my favourite. You know Daffodil means rebirth or hope. They struggle through the winter to come in Spring in order to decorate our nature with its colour of happiness.

The Beloved

The Beloved

Married life is not easy yet, through patience, love and working together, we make it work. I exit my store and look around for Eliza then, I notice she is in the floral shop. I watch her from afar, she looks up, smiles, and waves at me. I crossed the street to join her. “Hunter, I grew bored, and I saw these flowers that are just so lovely”. My wife has always loved roses, red in particular, I buy them for her every anniversary. Red roses and pearls are her favorite. She has always been a classy lady. “You do not have to explain, I know your love of botany”. she smiles at me and blushes. “What took you so long?” She asks me as we make our way back towards where I parked the car.

Spring Blooms, Yet We Never Meet Again

Spring Blooms, Yet We Never Meet Again

Vivian sat alone in the shadowed corner of the bar, watching strangers drift beneath the amber glow of the lights. She could not believe she had actually fallen for a rumor. “The real reason the Hayes and Carter families postponed the wedding? Sebastian’s ex was kidnapped. He’d rather call off the marriage than leave her to die.” One reckless sentence was all it took for her to book the first flight to Harbor City. Sebastian was the untouchable heir everyone admired—a fixture on the covers of financial magazines and the polished businessman delivering keynote speeches at charity galas. What could a man like him possibly be doing in a place like this? Vivian shook her head, set down her g

Ashes of the Beloved

Ashes of the Beloved

The words settled heavily in the space between them, not because they were dramatic, but because they were ordinary in the way they expressed something profoundly irreversible. Aisha studied him for a moment longer before speaking again. “And the marigolds?” she asked. At that, something subtle changed in his expression, not emotional disruption, but recognition. “She used to bring them when the wards were too quiet,” he said, as though recalling something that had always been part of his internal landscape. “She said they made the air feel less empty.” Aisha felt her attention sharpen slightly, because the detail matched too precisely with fragments she had seen in archived notes, and yet h

From Roses to Ashes

From Roses to Ashes

He stood beside the bed and looked at the unconscious man in silence for a long time before turning around and leaving for Anderson Manor. Martin stood in the Anderson Manor living room. Daisy was walking down the stairs. When she saw him, she stopped. "Don Verdant is dying," Martin said. "You should go see him." "What would be the point of me going?" Daisy walked over and sat on the sofa. Martin fell silent for a moment. "He received your wedding invitation." Daisy's hand stopped moving. "That night, he sat alone in his study until dawn," Martin continued. "The next day, he collapsed."

THE WILD ROSE

THE WILD ROSE

The waterfall roared louder than usual, but a rancid smell overpowered the usual scent of roses. Rogues were waiting for her, not Xavier. One of them was the unkempt man from the market. Rose readied herself, then she felt him. Xavier, running flat out, drawn by the bond. He burst into the clearing, eyes blazing. “Rose, run!” “No, we fight together.” Then the wild roses moved like a living thing. They had always grown thick here, but tonight they came alive. Vines wrapped her ankles, thorns gentle against her skin, petals brushing her face.
