Rose stood in front of the iron fence that towered over her. The iron line that tightly closed the magnificent house inside, seemed to smile disdainfully at him. The girl ignored the scorching sun that burned her beautiful hair and smooth skin. She searched for the bell and managed to find an intercom to communicate with. Rose pressed the button and waited for an answer. "Who are you?" asked a male voice over the intercom. "Me, Rose, can I see Mr. Robert Miller?"

A light tap sounded on the door, and I eagerly sat up from my bed with excitement as the door creaked open. “Mi-mi” Marcell greeted as he came into view. I groaned throwing myself back down on my bed, I so stupidly had hope for the other Garcia to walk through that door. “Hi, it’s nice to see you Marcell, how are you?” he finished with a chuckle. I know I shouldn’t have such a displeased reaction, it had nothing to do with Marcel and everything to do with the fact I was literally having Lucien withdrawals.

If I was getting bored with the situation, I chose to stay away. I passed several rooms, Nessa and Kayla still out of sight. Mara was alone. Then she heard steps. Slow steps. Right behind her. Now she turned around. No one. The road was empty. And yet she continued to hear the steps. Closer. Always closer. The smell of hot metal and lilies rotting in water. Then another image over it: Mara. Younger. Crying. Both hands pressed to a mirror gone liquid with light. And behind Mara, just barely visible in the silver flood, a man with dark hair and a ring on one hand reaching for her too late. Bastian. The name arrived with the image like a nail driven through wood. I jerked backward, gasping. Mirabella's expression changed. Not surprise. Recognition. "There you are," she said softly. "What does that mean?"

How I still have her number saved, I don’t know. Curious, I checked to see what it said. “Hey, baby, I can see you right now. I'm at the same venue as you," the message from Mariella read. What was she doing here? I had hoped for some peace and clarity, but it seemed like another drama was unfolding. Another message came in, and as I checked it, I saw that she had sent a photo of herself wearing a sleeveless dress that revealed her cleavage. The caption read, "Come to mama, look down to your right," accompanied by a wink face emoji.
