What a pun it was. The second I tried slitting my wrist but funny I did not die I was just unconscious from loosing some blood and I was as alive as ever; the only thing that remained was the scar that still reminds me of my ruinous life. Funny right! I was so stupid I can't believe I tried taking these catastrophic steps. But did I give up this thought and route of marring; the answer is no to this! You see I'm a very stubborn goat and I was intend to take my life. What if I did not succeed first or second; there were thirds, fourth and so on.

he stumbled over his words, a hint of confusion blending with gratitude. “Yes, it’s me. I wanted to see how you were doing,” Marley replied, her heart swelling with compassion. He shifted slightly, wincing as he tried to push himself up. “I’ve been better,” he admitted, a wry smile appearing on his lips. “But I’m alive thanks to you.” Marley couldn’t help but smile back, relief flooding through her. “That’s what matters most.” As the two talked, Marley shared stories about her life, and Mr. Thompson spoke about his late wife, his voice tinged with loss. It wasn’t long before he mentioned his estranged daughter Clara, a shadow passing over his face.

I heard the man on the screen, “You did it, Marly. The unit is deactivated!” he said with a smile. I turned to look at Marly who still had her eyes closed. I thought at first, she looked peaceful but then I realized there was blood dripping down her legs.

HELENA By the gods, what had that man led me into? His words echoed in my head. “If you survive the next stretch” he had said. “You will reach places where you stop needing help from strangers.” Did that mean I had to survive whatever was in that damned village? Just what in the gods name was in that village, what did I have to survive by accepting help from this stranger?

His scent comforted me even though I did not want it to. Soon Mara came back with a bowl of hot water a clean rag and a small towel. She knelt in front of me and started cleaning my wounds gently. “You do not have to do this Mara,” I said softly. “Oh please I have to,” she replied. “You survived the mad wolf. How did you even survive? Tell me everything.” I winced when the warm rag touched a deep scratch on my arm. “Ow.” “Sorry sorry,” Mara said quickly. “Just keep quiet and let me finish cleaning you. Then you can tell me the full story. I know I should let you sleep but I need to know. How did you survive that monster?”
