HIS MAID WIFE

HIS MAID WIFE

but Aubrey remained silent, her gaze fixed on the ground. "You didn't listen to your mother. Apologize to my wife," Mrs. Davis demanded. Aubrey raised her eyes, met Davis's gaze, and stammered, "I-I-I am..." Interrupting her, Evan's voice resonated through the room. "My wife will not apologize to anyone," he declared, surprising everyone, including Mrs. Jane, who looked at Evan in disbelief. "Your wife?" Mr. Davis questioned, shocked. "Yes, both you and your mistress were berating my wife," Evan affirmed. "So, you married a maid," Mr. Davis sneered. Evan laughed and responded, "She is not a maid. She chooses to work because she enjoys it. Besides, you can marry any random woman off the stre

She's Mine To Claim

She's Mine To Claim

The poor girl probably thought she’d run off. She doesn’t know me yet, Hailey thought. I don’t plan on making enemies in this house, at least not without reason. Inside the chapel, Old Matriarch Lilian Smith sat elegantly on a carved rosewood arhat bed, sipping tea with deliberate grace. Across from her, lounging with practiced ease, was the third lady of the Harvey family, Mary Hewitt. As Hailey entered, Mary cast a sideways glance filled with disdain. “Grandmother. Aunt Mary.” Hailey greeted them politely, ignoring Mary’s look. She didn’t sit down, just stood quietly, hands clasped.

I was looking at the advisors that will be available to share your common interest in your research. “First, we have Prof. Mauve Smith. She is interested in the oceanography of the past and how it can relate to the future condition of the ocean. Her best student is Azalea Johnson but she is known for Azalea MacWatters.” The coordinator said as she was introducing the faculty.

Sadie

Sadie

All we wanted was to be Jacob and Sadie and be free. I found a woman by the name of Doctor Riley Kim. She is a well-known Psychiatrist here in Baker with a hell of a reputation. She is also very expensive and hard to see. I got an appointment for Sadie and me two weeks after Sadie turns eighteen. We hoped she would work with us once we told her our situation. We needed her to see Sadie as a mentally healthy woman. We needed her to see how wrong Sadies reports were. The only thing we worried about was how the doctor could get ahold of Sadies records without giving our location away. It wasn't going to be easy, but we had to try something.

HIS SECRET WIFE

HIS SECRET WIFE

Hendrix himself was nearly dead with laughter as he recited that crazy night. Just as we were catching our breath, me wiping my tears, a lady walked through, wearing a large blazer and heels. She looked awkward as she swept her eyes over us then Blue and Hendrix. “Sorry I am late,” came her low voice, having me realize she was Hendrix’s wife. The laughter died away as she sat, a nearly awkward silence falling over. Hendrix pushed his chair back and stood up, glass in hand. “I just want to thank you all for the party. I appreciate you all being here.”

awesome book! Brandy's character rocks she is smart funny strong, compassionate loving and vulnerable. One of the best female leads I've read. She has you laughing one minute and wanting to cry the next how she is treated. She deserves only the best. I bet Storm will give her that before it's over.

Marina

Marina

I murmured. “Speak of the devil.” Detective baker frowned. I looked in the direction of where he was looking and saw a woman in a suit walking toward us. She had a friendly smile painted on her face, but I had a feeling we wouldn’t be the best of friends. “Detective Baker, long time no see,” she beamed. “I prefer it that way,” detective Baker grumbled. He still hadn’t returned her smile. So they must have some kind of history there. She looked at me. “You must be Marina Davis,” she said. “I am Special Agent Danna Halman. You can call me Danna or agent Danna.”

SELENE WOODS

SELENE WOODS

"Selene Woods. Age: 19, gender; female. Daughter to the deceased Mr Ashley and Whitney Woods. State after accident; Critical. Date and time of accident recorded; half past nine on the twenty- fourth of July, 2014.” - The detective paused. I felt a strange chill, a thin veil of sweat covered my body. My hands which had been gripping the stirring wheel tightened, eyes lingering on the traffic lights that had now turned orange. "I also found this amongst the police records. What does Miss Selene have to say about this?" - He added.

Maria

Maria

She muttered d to herself—under her breath as she walked into the office with Harry behind her. "Look who is here, my sweetheart!" Jackson called out in a joyous and annoyingly pitched voice making Maria's hair stand. She flashed him a pretentious grin, before moving her gaze to the other people in the room. Sean, as usual, had emotions masked behind his stern face, contrary to Higgins who looked like he had seen a ghost, the main of his hair looking scattered—probably from consistent and frustrating ruffles.

MARIA'S POV. It was a bright morning, the sun shining at its peak, casting a beautiful glow through the hospital glass, my hips swinging left and right as I walked through the hospital halls. The male doctors and some patients' mouths fell open as I passed them, they whispered among themselves. “Isn't that Maria Maria?” They asked each other. Yes, I am Maria Maria, I changed my last name, there was no need to carry on my last name after they chased me out of the company.

Alexis replied casually in an unaffected tone. Faith heaved out first. "Yes exactly. Actually, I am John wife, we also do have our own problem too. We have been childless for as long as I can remember, and when God answered our prayer, I was finally pregnant, that same time, my husband is contesting for Senatorial seat, but he lose in the election, and when I heard about it, I was so devastated about it that I lose my baby."
