As I approached Mrs. Pierce's study, a delicate cup of tea cradled in my trembling hands, I hesitated before knocking on the door. Something about the muted voices from within gave me pause, compelling me to eavesdrop for just a moment longer. Curiosity tugged at me, urging me to listen, and as I leaned closer, the words pierced through the door and etched themselves into my mind. "Alondra is Weston's rightful mate," Mrs. Pierce's voice resonated with an authority that sent a shiver down my spine. "The spell is wearing off. We need to act swiftly."

Wenzou glanced to Winastra who gave her a disapproving look. Wenzou spoke, “I guess that was wrong of me.” Winastra sighed and cuddled her head down onto her pillow tiredly, “Yes and no I suppose. Try to remember how it is that you would like to be treated and treat others accordingly. It is a good rule to live by.” “More thoughts from your big book?” Winastra nodded and was soon asleep. Wenzou was not tired though. Going to the shelf she pulled a big black book that had seen much wear down off the shelf. It was hard for her to read the words, but lighting a candle she did so just the same.

Their struggle seemed to go on forever, both of their hands shaking, until finally, Alex squeezed as hard as he could, and got Matilda to drop the knife. Matilda leaned her head back and roared, as if trying to exorcize the demon within her. Suddenly, Matilda turned and sprinted across the room. She headed right for the huge stained-glass windows, and without pausing, leapt right through them, glass shattering everywhere. Alex watched as Matilda flew out into the night, her huge wings flapping, flying as fast as she could to get away from this place. “She disappointed me," came a dark, guttural voice.

I had just returned to the pack for a break before we were to head back. I will never get over watching Maliyah use her powers. I watch her in awe as her eyes begin to glow that beautiful emerald color as she places her hands on the ground. I’ll never understand what she means that the earth whispers to her. Davina said that has never happened to her, so it’s unique to Maliyah. I watch curiously as she cocks her head to one side, listening to something the rest of us can’t hear. “She’s still here,” she whispers as her head snaps up to the left a little and she takes off in a dead sprint into the woods.

Chapter 1 Matilda POV Pim pim pim pim the machine sound woke me up I opened my eye slowly am at the hospital of course,I smiled "he's finally gonna marry me he's going to divorce sara for me I'm so happy" Oops I forget to introduce myself am Matilda Frances,my papa is the CEO of frances co limited,am his only child his princess,he loves me so oo much he can give me heaven and earth just to make sure am ok,my life was perfect not until my 18th birthday,I got a step mom and a stepsister.

Emelda asks sharply into the darkness as Matilda’s face appears, glowing with amber light cast from the fire in the hearth. Her blue search Emelda’s face as she takes another step closer to the door Emelda’s guarding. Matilda braces herself on the doorframe and smiles… with fangs dripping with blood. She clicks her tongue, rolling her eyes to the ceiling before laughing bitterly. “You fucking fool. You should have just let her die. I thought she was dead, actually for days. Imagine my surprise when I found out that bitch was still living, holed up here in Prince Michael’s shitty little house.”

And a long foot staggers out before Matilda steps out of the car. My eyes widen at what I'm seeing right now. Was she.... or were my eyes really deceiving me? I stop my car midway and quickly get out. I walk towards where Matilda was and truly, she was drunk. She could barely move her feet without staggering and was holding Eddie's hand for support. “Did you have alcohol, Matilda?” I ask her but she smiles at me with her eyes dazed and heavy lided. I turn to Eddie and he nods. “Your mom took her to a club, Mr Wilson.” Eddie tells me and I blink in shock. Matilda had never been in a club before and also she never drinks anything with alcohol in it.

Matilda looked down again, her bulging eye sockets stared at the smiling Lana who was currently talking to a goblin student. No matter which world you are, discrimination is always there. Matilda zipped her mouth after seeing Maleficent, who was now lost in her deep thoughts. She understood that her Halfling friend was still adjusting to things around her so she let the latter be lost in her train of thoughts.
