"You really resemble your mother," said Pagern continuing after a two seconds' pause. "I was very disappointed when your mother got mated to Gilber. She had been my childhood friend. Before our wolves would come, she was my love. But only when she had promised me to give her maidenhead to me on Sunday, your father claimed her on Saturday." This story was foreign into Lavina's ears. She had never had it somewhere else. But she had suspected something strange between her mom and Pagern for the way they looked at each other.

“Trish, what is the ceremony really about?’’ I finally gained the courage to ask. Patricia stared at me soloing hard before finally speaking. “ my mother has invited maidens, the finest, from all packs, so that Weston can choose a mate. Serafina is a top contender.’’ I felt a blood clot in my lungs. I closed my eyes and tried to breathe normally. I love seeing my emotions. I squeezed the glass so tightly it almost cracked. “Why did Seraphina's mother think I was competition? why did she say all those mean things?’’ “Because she believes that you are in love with Weston and that he might be in your clutches.’’ Patricia answered in a low tone.

He will be coming over more often to try and form a friendship with Taylor. When Matthew and Maribelle, Elijah and Machie's twins turned 18 only Matthew could smell a mate and he was so excited he started running around like a crazy man. He smelled every single person in attendance, even the really old people. As it wasn't an Alpha ceremony because that would be turning over to Jeremiah the whole pack wasn't there but quite a few of us were as it was still a huge deal. As we already knew Taylor was mated to Michael but she didn't when he came sniffing around our now 15 year old triplets she got really excited. Nathan was standing with us and Austin had to hold him back. Matthew sniffed all a

Especially considering the damage I'm incurring. But it was time to put an end to that.

My wolf was growing restless; rain or shine, I wanted to be outside. After making a list of necessities that I’d bring in a backpack, Colt helped me figure out how to get the items. A paper road map of Coloradoa cheap rain jacket from a gas station in Dalesbloom, a bag of deer jerky Colt would put together ‘for a packmate’, an extra sweater—his. “I saw the gun on Catrina’s waist,” I pointed out. “Where’d she get it?”

He wink and raised up to meet me, "Mariah, Mariah, Mariah, you're such a beautiful thing, don't you know?" "Sex mate?, Who told you Mariah is my sex mate?," Drake recalled.

[I don't have a good reason, okay?!] Sysiphus finally looked at Raymond in the eyes, for the first time since the compass showed Ava as their mate, [The mate bond is real, and my feelings are real! I know I hate Ava White and I know I want to tear her apart, but I don't want to break the mate bond! I won't do it!] Raymond could feel Sysiphus's confusion, and he realized he had to calm down because the two of them needed at least one cool head.

''It's close'', he whispers and we slowly turn and go west. After a minute, my eyes catch a movement on my left. I glue my back to the tree trunk, take an arrow and nock it on my bow. I fix my eyes on the prey, peacefully grazing early spring grass. Pulling the bow string back, I slowly take a deep breath. The animal is beautiful, unknowing. Time stops for a second. I don't really want to do this. I don't want to kill it. I release.

Matthias sighed checking the door to make sure it still worked," he needs to vent and that poor boy is about to be his form of therapy." I cringed even harder," I don't think Gerwulf would let him do that much damage. Right?" I looked at Beth who only shrugged," I think he'll let him get a few good hits in and then stop it." The silence was deafening as we waited for them to reach pack territory. Matthias tried to distract us all from the inevitable with an old card game he'd found in the waiting area.
