He learns that their father has fallen gravely ill and is in ICU. He returns home to see his father and the family. But Devon has all intentions of returning back to Chicago. He's only planning to be here a few days. Until he gets the requests from Evan and his father to stay and help run the business until dad gets well. Devon reluctantly agrees, but for the love of his younger brother he remains.

I ended up going to the restaurant where I worked. It was getting dark when the restaurant closed for the day.
