Jeremy It's been three days since we released the information to the world, three days since Mel hasn't been feeling well. She's been staying in the bunker where we sleep and every time that we go in there she avoids me, why is that, why is she acting so weird all of a sudden. The moment she became sick I thought... I mean my natural instinct to protect her just kicked in, and it was like how things used to be before all of this madness happened and before I found out that she wasn't even fucking human either.

But I nodded anyway, urging him to continue. "He is uh..." He paused then, swallowing hard; a clear sign that whatever he wanted to say next was pretty hard for him. "Well, he's sick. Actually, he's been sick for a long time now, but he's been managing it well. But now, things are out of control, and it's pretty serious."

She struggled to sit up and take in her surroundings, realizing with a start that she was in a hospital room. Memories of the attack flooded back to her, and she muttered a curse under her breath, directed at the CEO of Mindreads. Still feeling weak and disoriented, Mel tried to stand up and leave the room. But a wave of nausea hit her suddenly, and she stumbled into the bathroom, where she was violently sick.
