Damien's voice took over the room, then the meeting started in full force. Presentations were made and then it got to Melissa's turn. She rose to her feet, linked her laptop to the projector, and started the presentation. Halfway through her slides, Mel started feeling funny but she managed to pull through by talking a bit slower. There were two more slides left when Melissa's sickness took over her. She brought her hand to her mouth and ran out of the conference room. Damien rose to his feet. Jackie did the same, excused herself, and ran out of the conference room.

Felix, sensing my doubt, spoke again with unwavering determination, “It will get better. I’ll make you well, and I’ll make those who hurt you pay for what they did.” Right now, I was more worried about my grandmother. She should have been discharged by now. I had missed my chance to pick her up from the hospital. I couldn’t face her looking like this. All I could do was beg Felix not to tell her, and to wait until I was better before seeing her again. But that day, I received a video from an unfamiliar number. In the video, a group of people surrounded my grandmother, whose hair was completely white, and threw rotten vegetable leaves and stinky eggs at her.

There lay Ebony with what looked like a gunshot wound, and blood on the floor around her body. “Oh my god.” Melissa said and ran to the bathroom to throw up. Tears running down her face, she picked up her mobile and pulled up Brock’s number. After three rings Brock answered “Hello Melissa.” Hiccuping sobs came down the other end of the line. “What’s wrong?” He asked. Melissa finally managed to get the words out “Can you come to my office please. I need you to look at something.” “Sure. Be there in ten.” And he hung up. Pressing the intercom button for Sam she said “You can leave early today, Mr Milligan is coming to talk about Featherlite. Once you’ve shown him in you can go.”

Maximilian completely ignored her and continued pointing out her health issues.

She asked Lizzy. “Yes,” Lizzy said. She held him carefully as Lizzy put the jacket on him carefully. She took him in and they didn’t have to wait long to meet the doctor. The doctor gave him some antibiotics. The most possible cause would have been an allergy, therefore a few tests were run to confirm it. She drove them back home. She tucked Melvin under the covers and caressed his hair lovingly. “Mommy, can you stay?” Melvin asked her while holding on to her hand.

“You need to rest, or else you will be so drained, and this could result in sickness.” “Noooooo oo." I screamed. “Tell me what's wrong with me.” “Melina, calm down.
