As Melinda stepped out, Maxwell approached and asked, "What happened to Emily? Is she sick?" Melinda glared at Maxwell and replied sharply, "She's not sick. She's injured." Startled, Maxwell asked worriedly, "Injured? How did she get hurt? Who did this to her?" "You did!" replied Melinda with a darkened expression. Maxwell was stunned and ashamed to the point of speechlessness.

“Mel? Is everything alright? I ask panicked, is she going to cry? “Come, let’s go outside.” I take her hand and lead her outside for some privacy. Once we’re a couple of metres away from the house, Mel turns to me. “I’m sorry.” She blurts, “I’ve just been exhausted. Melinda shook her head and then shot a sharp look at Adelia. “No, I'm fine, just a little diarrhea, but this lover of mine is too concerned to take me to the hospital in a panic.” Melinda looked up at Afgan who was taller than her. “You're too kind, darling. I'm really touched.” Adelia raised the corners of her lips in disgust, while Afgan glanced at the reflection of the elevator door, Adelia's face looked condescending at these words.

As I turn to the person, I'm immediately wrapped in a bone crushing hug that has me wincing "My ribs!" Caramel releases me immediately, a panicked look on his face as he clutches his hand to his chest "Va-Vanilla, are you okay? D-Did I hurt you?" I manage to smile at him. Not so much" Mel has his hair all roughened up and there are dark circles under his eyes, which gives him a bad boy look that clashes with his baby one but is still hot, oddly enough.

Her voice calling my name was like music to my ears. “What?” I responded, still eyes on my way. “W-why did you do that?” I put my hands in my pocket and asked, “The what?” “Um...” she mumbled. “Why did y-you tell them I’m sick?” “Because you are,” I simply uttered. “I’m f-fine,” she said. “I’m n-not sick.” Was she that too intimidated by me to stammer like that throughout the conversation or she’s just really sick?

It is a new day, and the guys have left the house, leaving Melanie to herself inside the big mansion since she won't be going to the office.
