Fate or Destiny
I look around with a heavy heart and shake my head, “no, I will hurt no more over this, over him, when I leave this garden, my time will be done and I will move on from this so-called destiny. Tears well in my eyes as I sit and his image flashes in my mind, his smile as he pulled the weeds with me, his laughter as we walked through the dead garden. The warmth of his lips on my forehead, his scent inside my tent and the way he held me in his arms as I slept.
I jump at her voice, “child why do you cry?”
I stand quickly as I spin around wiping at my eyes and take in the woman that stands in front of me, “who are you?”
