Renegade Wolves
I had the guard lead the way, a little upset that the mechanic wasn’t on duty, and made a mental note to follow up with whoever was meant to be on the schedule today.
“Thank you, Tommy,” I say to the guard once we reach the twenty-first grove, “I got it from here,” I assure him. At first, he looked hesitant to leave me, but I again assured him and advised him he needed to get back to his post.
As the guard leaves, I make my way to the main control panel to check the wiring. Finding that sound, I then check the gears and cluck my tongue seeing that it did indeed just need a little lubricant.
