Chapter 10 — The Hawthornes Her mind was still frazzled from the conversation with her parents as she watched their limo leave the chapel grounds when she felt a hand wrap around her arm. She turned sharply and was met face to face with the woman she had seen inside at the front pews where Jaxon’s family was seated. A woman she realized was Naomi Hawthorne. World-renowned philanthropist, former Miss World, Miss USA, and famous pageant who once walked a runway with even more famous runway models just to raise money for a charity course.

The men backed up at the threat and she smiled. "Run along and I'd go looking for a new slave, the one that ran is a Dragon." They ran off at that and she looked at me. "Hi I'm Arachne, Empath Witch and friends of the Three Moons." She said, holding her hand out. I took it and shook her hand. "Channing." "I know. The Three Moons talk about you a lot. Though I don't think Selene likes you very much." She said, before looking at the barrel.

Nothing would stop me now. As I left their room, I took one last glance at their peaceful faces. "Goodnight, my loves," I whispered. "I promise you, everything will be alright." The flickering nightlight cast long shadows across the floor, and I felt a chill run down my spine. I could feel the darkness that lived inside me stir with excitement. The floor felt like it had opened up beneath me. His voice cut through the room like a cold blade, each of the words filled with venom "I Reject Rachael Snyder as my Mate.
