Promises Forgotten

Promises Forgotten

“Yeah, I’m not starting that fight. No thanks. But he did thank you for wiping the debt. I owe you a hundred.” “Yeah yeah. Back to work. I need to pick up Elliot at two-thirty and tonight is poetry night. That hundred better be in my hands tonight.” Mike wrinkled his nose. “Great. The weirdos come out at night.” I jabbed him with my metal elbow and he growled. “Shit! That hurts!” “Don’t make fun of them just because they are able to express themselves, O’ man of loose morals.”

I would have really loved to know if Adrian would change but I guess not! Appears that all he wanted was his fathers approval and acceptance and the heck with the rest. Good book and there was a lot of angst!

I really loved this book—the characters, their development, and the supportive circle of friends and family. If you’re tired of clichéd CEO books where the main conflict revolves around a bitchy ex and annoying misunderstandings, and you’re looking for something meaningful, this is your book!

Midnight

Midnight

“I know! I know! I promised I wouldn't cry today. But you can't blame me. Mother is outside preparing for a grand party for Angus and I am stuck here with you and a rotten pizza on my carpet, No offense, Lala.” I rubbed her gently on her branch and she tightened her grip. “I wish she could love me”. Just then “Numb little bug” by Em beihold began to play. I began to sing to it, draining in every single beat and lyric. “Lala, if you can help me arrange my room. I promise to not let anything ruin my day”. The tree shrugged and in a way, grimaced. “Oh come on! It sounds fair to me. Okay! I'll give you fresh manure and nice trimming later”.

FRAGILE PROMISES

FRAGILE PROMISES

The air grew charged with an electric energy, and a gentle breeze carried whispers of ancient secrets. I followed the winding path until it led me to a serene, moonlit clearing. The trees around me seemed to lean in, as if sharing in the anticipation of what was to come. In the center of the clearing, a shimmering pool of water reflected the moon's soft glow, its surface rippling with an otherworldly luminescence. Curiosity sparked within me as I approached the mystical pool. The voice of Mr. Thompson echoed in my mind, urging me to take a leap of faith and trust in the journey. With a deep breath, I stepped forward and peered into the water.

My Promiscuous Neighbor

My Promiscuous Neighbor

No matter how I thought about it, it was awkward. Though, that's not to say it wasn't possible. The next day, I watched the note stuck to the ornamental flowers next to the door of my building. It read, "Suppress Your Desires." I smiled. The decorators my mother had hired turned up later that day. Luckily, I just so happened to be going away on business. I begged them to work through the night. I told them it was urgent and paid them extra to do it.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.
