POV: Luna After the incident with the sigils, I can't sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I hear that voice. "When you fail, I'll be waiting." The certainty in those words haunts me. Like failure is inevitable. Like I'm destined to fall into whatever trap is being set. So instead of sleeping, I head to the library. It's well past midnight. The building should be locked. But Lyric gave me her access codes for emergencies. And this feels like an emergency.

For the meantime, I'll stay put. I lay on the bed, willing myself to sleep. No matter how small, the sleep eludes me, and when I suddenly find myself falling into the dark, I'm dreaming of nothing but absurdity. In the chilling darkness, yet, I can make out unfamiliar shadows, contrasting and conflicting with each other. I can't hold them, but I hear them. It's almost like I'm looking into my head, my mind, from above, like a god. I'm drenched in sweat when I wake, from the maid's knock on the door, letting me know Shawn requires my presence. I hurriedly go into the bathroom, wash my body off the perspiration and discordance I am feeling.

I left a note besides Nate to take care of everything while I'm at work. I choosed to walked instead to use my scooter this time, the nighttime in the city is beautiful opposite from the morning, morning is a curse. I hid my hand inside the pocket of my hoodie and starts distracting myself.
