It's Not Too Late
"I only discovered this a couple of days ago. I went to see Wendy and told her to stay away from you. Then we had a big argument, and she let slip it out. That's when I found out."
Tears streamed uncontrollably down my face, falling onto Mark's hand.
In a way, I was clearing my name before I died.
"Don't cry, Jennifer." He released me, bent over, and wiped away my tears.
In his arms, I sobbed uncontrollably.
"Mark, here..." I pointed to my heart. "It won't beat for you anymore.
"Mark, if it were possible, I would wish we never met."
I wiped my tears and smiled. "Mark, this is the last time I'll call you that. From now on... we go our separate ways."
