I told him and he shook his head. "Be nice babe," Miguel stated and I told him of course I'd be. I picked up Rai and set him on my lap as he watched me curiously. I felt an interesting feeling of being drained when I held him but, unlike a normal person I could refill whatever life force he took from me being the son of a God. I glanced at Miguel and knew with him being Life he wouldn't have sensed it. "You're not a nice boy," the child stated with accusing eyes. I chuckled and said,"I am Death, little one and am nice to those I chose to be." Rai blinked rapidly and fussed a bit before pulling off the tiara on his head and laying down against my chest.

This is what you have become. “No, no, this cannot be.” Kill the boy and you will become. “I can’t! I can’t kill anybody!” He dashed towards the door of the room. “Jack! Tim!” he yelled as he got to the door. He tired to pull the door open, but instead his hand went through the door. Frightened, he tried again, but his hand kept going through the handle like he was nothing. “Jack!” he yelled, finally giving up trying the handle and running through the shut door.

"Anytime Smith. To the cemetery?" I took a deep breath, staring ahead with only one goal in my mind, to get revenge for my dad's death. "To the cemetery." ~~~ Next chapter is continued here... Dead. Caitlin was struck by a great pain as she slowly moved her feet towards where Kathryn’s body laid. Her chest squeezed at the sight of her gruesome death and she could feel the stabbing pain, as if the sword had been driven into her own chest. She knelt down beside her and brought her hand to touch her face. It was pale. Cold. Caitlin wanted to imagine the kind of pain she must have felt, but she knows it can never compare to what she actually felt and at that moment, she remembered her words;

I believed that this would be an unforgettable gift for Matthew.

She smiled as her hand reached out to me. "Selene!" I smiled and ran toward her with all my might. That was when I felt emptiness below me. My body fell rapidly. The sharp rocks pierced through my chest, and I felt intense pain all over my body. Before my consciousness descended into darkness, my fingers… They finally touched her nonexistent hand.

Kate shifted into a white wolf, murder gleaming in her eyes. They slammed into each other like clashing storms. Claws tore through flesh while fangs shattered bone. Blood drenched the floor as their screams echoed through the vaulted stone. Enforcers tried and failed to separate them. Katherine clamped down on Kate's throat, but Kate's paw punched straight through Katherine's chest and churned. "Go to hell... You... You fake..." Kate gasped, grinding her claws in. Katherine's wolf collapsed. When she shifted back, she was already dead, a gaping hole where her heart had been.

I looked down at the beautiful flowers beneath me and engraved them in my brain so I would have a pretty picture in my mind as they killed me. Soon, we entered through a door and our footsteps started becoming louder. After what seemed like more seconds, we came out through another door and I started hearing whispers as we walked through the fields. I heard growls from afar but didn’t look up anyway. I didn’t want to know, I was simply ready to die. I hoped that they would let me see Corey first.
