Luna Claudia nodded in response and she shook her head, snapping herself out of whatever she was thinking. “You are right about that one,” Luna Claudia said, and Mario wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her to his chest. He looked at Ezra who was standing on the windowsill from the outside, staring out at the people. It was a habit that he often had, a trick that he taught me whenever he wanted to run was to jump out of these heights, and though I knew that I might never be as good as he was, I knew that he was impressed by how fast I learned. But then again, having a father like mine, despite not telling me who he was, I was still forced to train, athletically at least.

He chuckled, but it was short-lived. “What the f*ck are you doing here!?” Zach’s angry tone was loud enough to make people look our way…again. I was so distracted with the chips and dip, that I didn’t see Alec and a couple of guys standing next to me. What in the world? “Hi, River. Didn’t expect to see you here,” Alec remarks grinning at me ignoring Zach’s outburst. A guy looking like a young Theo James, but with dirty blonde hair, light brown eyes, and athletic looking spoke, “Hello there sexy girl.” He said grinning and licking his lips at me like a sly fox.

“Jace.” Jace rushed forward, stopping just short of the table. “They said you killed someone named Miranda Vegas. River, what the hell is going on?” River blinked, confusion flashing across his face. “Miranda… Vegas?” He shook his head slowly. “That’s not possible.” “You know her?” River hesitated. “I did. A long time ago.” Jace frowned. “Who is she?”

Except he didn't know how well he could've navigated his conversation with Sebastian the night before. Milo DeMicheal, a shareholder with the Merit Global team approaches River, eyes narrowed in deliberation. He had noticed River from across the room, whilst he checked in and chat with Jason Stanwick, a board member of Merit Global. A middle aged, burly man, with a less than impressive toupee and an expensive suit "I've seen you before." Milo stops, watching River turn to face him with a confused expression. "Sorry?" River shakes his head, now shaken out of his reverie.

He asks me and I shake my head. “There a lot of people that dislike me a lot but not so much that they would actually do this.” I say as I try to think of someone who would want to ruin my life. My mom? No, I don’t think so. “Umm how about someone who has been obsessed with you over the years?” I shake my head again. Thankfully I’ve never had crazy fans. “A man named Richard Walts was kind of obsessed with her. Maybe you can check up on him.” Jake tells him as the officer writes down the name and details.

He was very fast, but I knew he was holding back, waiting for me to catch up. Finally, we got to the river. My eyes glinted at the water before me, water flowing down exquisitely. There was no coverage from the sun, allowing both of us to bathe in it. Mikael hadn't transformed back to his human form. I watched him move slowly towards the edge of the river, his tongue lapping as he drank water from the stream. I followed after, copying his every move. It wasn't until I was filled up that I decided to stop drinking.

He says eventually, noises behind him reveal the blonde girl that Flame was arguing with earlier. “Oh please be Darius’ friend.” She grins, pushing the boy out of the way and extending her hand. “I’m Gale. Gale Winters.” “Cain Harden.” I shake her hand quickly before dropping it and turning to the boy again, attempting to be pleasant when I just want him to get the fuck out of my way. “Darius told me we were going Tree Surfing.”

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

I groan internally. My name is Mariah Cruz. I'm 17 years old and starting my junior year today. My Father, Mark Cruz, is the current Beta of our pack, The Royal Moon Pack, and my mother, Jennifer Diaz, is the Beta female. My Brother Josh Cruz is 18 years old and a senior in High School. He is training to become the next Beta when our Alpha, Jason Adams, decides to retire and hand the title to his eldest son, Nick Adams. Nick is 18 and is also a senior in high school.
